Over in the world of magistrates courts we have probably the most dishonest mitigation statement, ever.

“Defending, Mumtaz Chaudry said Shah did not hold extremist views. ‘This is nothing to do with his religious beliefs, his family’s beliefs or his cultural beliefs,’ he said. ‘He is just an ordinary guy.”  

Right now this guy spray painted the words  ‘Islam will dominate the world  –  Osama is on his way’ and ‘Kill Gordon Brown’ on a war memorial.   How can it NOT be said that such words were religiously motivated but instead judged to be politically motivated.

Judging by what I saw in the Burton paper it’s not the only case of Islamic and Islamist graffiti on war memorials.
