Others may have seen this already but this site with its proud declaration that Islam should be fought without hatred or racism appears to have some good writing and good resources about Islam within it.
This article in particular caught my eye and was about how to treat Muslims as individuals when they are known to adhere to Islamic ideology. The author drew the comparison with Communism and said that if you put a known follower of Communism into the post of head of the US Federal Reserve then you would want to be assured that this person would not use Communist principles in their job. The same checks should be done when a Muslim is going for a job in the police, intelligence agencies, or other critical job. It is right and proper to ask Muslims the same awkward questions that we would ask a Communist about the ideology they follow.
The site is well worth reading and is packed with resources.
Article: How should we treat the Muslims in our midst?

OK,fine, but look up Taquiya and Kitman and then tell me how we could trust their responses.
I think the Taqqiya and Kitman needs to be taken into account both when asking the questions and hearing and evaluating the responses.
It is going to mean not taking some statements at face value.
To do this we as Non Muslims need to be informed about what Islam is all about. You cannot judge the quality of an answer if you are not in possession of the required facts needed to evaluate the answer.
The people at Citizen Warrior are right. The ordinary bod needs to be informed about the content, morality and activities of Islam.
In the past we have relied too often on experts to mediate between the majority population and representatives of Islam. This hasn’t worked as those who are doing this for example Diversity Officers, have not asked the critical questions that need to be asked of Islam.
To be quite frank, a lot of people I’ve come across in the diversity industry are a bunch of morally cowardly Neville Chamberlain clones.
We cannot trust such people to ask these critical questions of Islam, we need to do this questioning ourselves but to do this we as free individuals need to know what Islam is.
Learning about Islam is a weapon for fighting it..
I learned all I need to know about Islam on 11/9/2001.
I have not yet read the article, but the header is suggestive, since I have always maintaned that communism is a religion, and should be treated as such.
Also, “muslims” is as meaningless a label as “christian”, given the diversity of views.
What about the ismaili, sufi & ahmadi sects, none of whom want anything AT ALL to do with this “kahifah” nonsense.
The real problem, of course, is religion in general.
It is all poisonous, murderous blackmail.
Greg, I deal with and comment positively on quietists like the Ahmadi and the Sufi elsewhere on the blog. Sadly these quietist sects are in the numerical minority when compared to Sunni and Shia.
