From Abu Faris on a thread on Harry’s Place regarding the current misrulers of the Gaza Strip.

I do not think that anyone (as I have) who has lived under Islamist regimes (Sudan and now, sadly and despite the Revolution, Egypt too) has any sympathy whatsoever for the scum who run Gaza. My wife, an Arab, has some advice: hunt these bastards down – and do not stop until you have caught/killed every last one. Make the enemies of humankind tremble in fear and desist – and let anyone who should elect to follow their path realise the price they will pay for their infamous acts.

In short: if they want war – give it to them.
I definitely concur with this view. If it proves impossible to negotiate with clerical fascists. Then they should be contained and if necessary destroyed.
Carrot and stick approach; Do what you’re told and we don’t use the stick!
With Hamas no negotiated settlement without monitoring should be accepted as they’ve proven themselves to be not only genocidal maniacs ( See Hamas Charter http://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/hamas.asp ) but also inveterate liars.
Israel has tried the carrot and even forcibly evicted its own citizens from Gaza to try to buy peace but still the bearded savages are, well….savage. Now it’s time to give Hamas the stick and hit them hard.
If only our own governments took such a robust line towards bearded savages.
