From Elsewhere: A leader who is speaking the truth

Bosom buddies in hatred, The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Adolf Hitler

It has long been known by those of us who write about, or are concerned about Islam and Jihad, that during the 1930’s and 1940’s there was a strong affinity and significant contact between The Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (Nazis) and senior representatives of the Arab population of British Mandate Palestine. It may be a very unpleasant and unpalatable truth for those who both have a rosy view of Islam and who also see themselves as anti-fascist, but it is a truth nonetheless.

During conversations on the issue of wartime collusion between the Nazis and Arab representatives, sometimes I’ve come across people who dismiss the tales of collusion between two of the 20th/21st century world’s great tyrannies, Nazism and Islam. Some of those on the Left for example cannot believe that the Arab, who they’ve been brainwashed to believe is nothing more than a peaceful victim of imperialism and circumstance, would make common cause with Hitler and his associates.

They may not want to believe it, they may dismiss it as conspiracy theory, or explaining the contacts away by alleging that a minor incident has been taken out of context. It becomes much more difficult to explain away the closeness between the Nazis and Islam in the 1930’s when these facts are related by a senior politician. Senior politicians, if they are wise, make sure that they know what they are talking about, and how their words will be heard.

One such wise senior politician who has, at last, brought the information about Nazi / Arab collusion to a wider audience is the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In a speech at a university in Israel, Mr Netanyahu told the truth, he told of the links between the senior Islamic religious and political figure at the time, Mufti Hajj Amin al-Husseini, and the Nazi regime.

The Israeli news source Artuz Sheva said:

In a surprisingly powerful and frank speech at Bar Ilan University, delivered in a calm and almost informal manner, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu pointed to a deep link between the Palestinian national movement and the Nazi regime in Germany.

At the heart of the oration was the determination that Arab rhetoric notwithstanding, the “territories” and “settlements” are not the heart of the territorial conflict between Jews and Arabs – but that the conflict stems from the historic refusal of the Arabs to accept a Jewish state.

Netanyahu provided quotes and evidence showing that the supreme leader of the Palestinian Arabs in the first half of the 20th century, Mufti Hajj Amin al-Husseini, was actively involved in encouraging Adolf Hitler and his henchmen in their project of annihilating the Jewish people.”

Yes that’s it. This representative of the ‘noble Arab’ did his best to encourage a genocide because his religious and philosophical path desires the death or cruel enslavement of ALL Jews. However, unlike Nazism, Islam will not only destroy the Jews, it will destroy everyone and everything that is not Islam. We can see this quite plainly in quite new countries that have suddenly found themselves with an Islamic flavoured government, for example Pakistan. Life for religious minorities in such places are quite hellish.

Arutz Sheva continued:

The Jewish-Palestinian conflict began, said the prime minister, in 1921, when Arabs attacked Beit Haolim in Yafo (Jaffa), which housed new Jewish immigrants. They murdered several Jews, including famed writer Yosef Haim Brenner.

“My own grandfather had arrived at Yafo, to the same house, one year earlier,” said Netanyahu. “This attack was not against territories or settlements,” he noted. “It was against the immigration of Jews to the Land of Israel.”

The prime minister went on to list Arab pogroms against Jews in 1929 – when the Jewish community in Hevron was annihilated “with endless cruelty” – and later in 1936-39. In 1947, the Arabs refused to accept a partition plan that gave the Jews a state, he said. In 1967, again, Arab nations formed “a ring of strangulation” around Israel – but then, too, “there were no territories. There was no occupation. Unless Tel Aviv and Yafo are occupied.”

Countless hands of friendship have been put out by Jews of Eretz Yisrael (the land of Israel) to the Arabs. Although often it has been received and reciprocated, it cannot be denied that too often it has been the Arab who has been first to resort to violence, the first to attack and the first to hate. Prime Minister Netanyahu is that rare thing among politicians, one who is telling the truth. It wasn’t the Jews who went out to murder Arabs it was the Arabs who set out to murder Jews.

There is a profound hatred, inspired by the Koran and the Hadith, for those of other religions and especially Jews. This is because in the early days of Islam, the Jews could see that what Mohammed was selling wasn’t as good as what they had. Why have the bastardised and twisted biblical stories mixed with Arabic paganism that Mohammed was promoting when you could have the real thing, the five books of Moses, the Prophets and the Writings that make up the Hebrew Bible. For their refusal of his theological mixture, Mohammed swore eternal enmity against the Jews which is the source for today’s Islamic Jew hatred.

Arutz Sheva added:

Moving on to the present day, Netanyahu noted that he recently heard Iran’s representative “muttering half heartedly” about the crimes of the Nazis, and then going on immediately to say that the Jews must not be allowed to use the Nazi issue in order to commit crimes against the Palestinians.

The historical truth is the opposite of this presentation, he said.

He then began quoting numerous historical sources showing that the Mufti was “one of the initiators of the Holocaust of the Jews of Europe,” and that he was constantly encouraging the Nazi leadership to annihilate the Jews, throughout the war. He cited evidence that the Mufti even visited the gas chambers at Auschwitz with Adolf Eichmann.

“The Mufti is still a greatly admired figure in the Palestinian national movement,” said Netanyahu. “These are the weeds that need to be uprooted,” he said. “The root of the conflict is the deep resistance among a hard core of Palestinians to the right of the Jewish people to its own state in Israel.”

Netanyahu hinted that this is something that the Palestinian negotiators are unwilling to state in the current negotiations, and made it clear that unless they do so – the negotiations cannot succeed.”

Netanyahu has done the right thing on this occasion. He has explained, to the world, and with source evidence, just how close was the friendship between Islam and the Nazis. The fact that the Mufti, who hobnobbed with Eichmann, is revered and admired in the Arab world says a lot about those who think and feel that way. No culture genuinely committed to peace, prosperity and freedom could possibly have someone as a hero, who not only admired the Nazis but worked with them and shared their aims.

Maybe Netanyahu is seeing sense, in that the ultimate aim of Arab governments and organisations like Fatah and Hamas, is not peace, or land to build a modern functioning nation, but the completion of the task that Hitler failed at. Although there are individual Arab Muslims who wish for and work for peace, that is not the case with so many of the organisations that purport to represent Arabs.

It is madness to try to make peace with organisations and ideologies so deeply steeped in hatred that at almost every opportunity in the last 60 odd years they have continued to beat ploughshares into swords and have promised peace but committed acts of war.
