It seems that each day brings yet another reason NOT to vote for the Liberal Democrats.  If it isn’t the sex scandals, the shifty-ness or the Islamo-pandering then it is fiscal shenanigans.

The blogger Guido Fawkes has uncovered another bit of Lib Dem skullduggery which involved taxpayers cash in which Parliamentary expenses are claimed and then the money is funneled down to the local Lib Dem party branch.  This means that money which has been claimed for legitimate Parliamentary expenses is being used for a party political purpose.

Guido Fawkes said of the matter:

“Taxpayers are subsidising Farron’s local party to the tune of thousands of pounds a year, with zero checks on whether public money is funding party political activity. It gives him a publicly-funded advantage over any opponent. The LibDems are the most cunning at this and that’s because they are taught how to fiddle centrally – in 2008 they gave a presentation to their MPs urging them to maximise expenses for party benefit.”

Well said Guido and well winkled out.  Because of this public funding advantage it makes it much easier for the Lib Dems to run bigger and more impressive electoral campaigns that could be afforded by another party or even an individual independent candidate.

So on top of everything else, the Lib Dems are now picking your pockets, what a lovely bunch of shysters the Lib Dems are.
