Mohammed Naseem of Birmingham Central Mosque is the latest Muslim leader to be caught out speaking rubbish and then trying desperately to backtrack.
Following on from the BBC caving into Islamic pressure from the Mosque and not having a debate on Islam and homosexuality coming from the mosque, Naseem has been ‘speeking his braynes’ about the issue of gay Muslims. However, when he was challenged he quickly went into damage-limitation mode, especially over his comparison of gay people with nonces and murderers. Naseem is now whining that he was ‘misinterpreted’ (yeah, right)
Jihad Watch quoting the Birmingham Mail (original Birmingham Mail link has mysteriously stopped working for me) said:
“The chairman of Birmingham Central Mosque has claimed he was misinterpreted over remarks he made comparing homosexuals with murderers and paedophiles.
Free Speech, the BBC3 debate show, deliberately dropped the question “When will it be right to be Muslim and gay?” on its March 12 episode which was filmed at the mosque.
A furious row broke out after the panel and studio audience were denied a chance to answer, with the presenter saying the issue had been dropped in response to the concerns of the mosque.
In the wake of this Dr Mohammad Naseem, 89, sent a letter defending his decision – in which he appeared to compare being gay with serious criminals.
The letter said: “There are people with homosexual tendency in Muslim countries but they respect the law and control their desire as others do.
“Human beings do have weaknesses and tendencies which are not socially acceptable and so they try to have a control over them and do not give in.
“A compulsive murderer, gambler, paedophile etc. could present the same logic and ask for accommodation by the society. Are we going to accept on the basis of freedom of action?”
Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, Dr Naseem defended his words and said: “I have been misinterpreted. I meant to say homosexuals must have a desire to be homosexual in the same way heterosexuals have a desire to be the same way and so paedophiles have a desire to be paedophiles and recently there was a woman who was charged with murder because she likes to murder men.
“What I am saying this is compulsive desire to do something and it should not give society an obligation to accept it. This was an analogy I referred to in my letter.
“It does not mean that homosexuals are murderers. I was referring to one common trait to illustrate the point.”

The phrase ‘a likely story’ pops up into my head regarding the words of Mr Naseem. Naseem’s words also confirm to me that if one wishes to ascertain whether an Islamic leader is lying, then check to see if his (and it is normally a ‘he’) lips move. In his first statement he was stating Islamic teaching on homosexuality which is considerably more harsh than either that of modern mainstream Judaism or modern mainstream Western Christianity. In his second statement he is floundering and coming out with any old bull in order to get attention away from him and Birmingham Central Mosque.
‘Misquoted’ – my arse! What has happened here is Naseem has been caught out and because he has been caught out he’s gone into full Taqiyya-mode in order to deflect criticism, criticism I might add that is both right and proper.
What we have here is yet another case of Islamic hatred, about which there has been a later attempt to cover up with lies. What we also have is a glaring example of just why the ideology of Islam is incompatible with modern British society. The ideology of Islam doesn’t just have a dislike,or distaste or prohibition against homosexuality, but a murderous attitude towards it and towards LGB people themselves.
