I’ve recently come across a Facebook page called ‘The Rise of UKIP’. Some people are for or against UKIP but whether or not you are in agreement with UKIP is between you and the ballot box. What is very much to the point is that the Rise of UKIP admins are embarking on a project monitoring the activities of dodgy Lib Dem councils. They have appealed for information about Lib Dem dodgy-ness and especially where this questionable behaviour is related to building and planning permission. They are trying to find out if and how many and where, there may be Lib Dems being ‘bought’ in order to green-light major building projects.
The Lib Dems do have a reputation for dirty fighting in elections and many of their policies, such as kneejerk support for the European Union, being extremely pro-immigration, and a desire for higher taxes and a larger state are those that are not exactly ones that benefit the people of the UK as a whole. To this list of shame it seems we must also add possible corruption as well.
Although the Lib Dems have been shamed quite comprehensively by the cold light of publicity that has been shone on them whilst in coalition, their antics in local government are much less documented. Lib Dem dodgy-ness in councils is much less known about or documented.
This is what The Rise of UKIP said:
In 2013 the Liberal Democrat Party put out £6,400,000, and took in £6,200,000.
This might go some way into explaining why they are under scrutiny for funnelling local tax payers money towards their party, and also might start to explain why so many large Building projects are occurring in Lib-Dem councils.
If you have a Lib-Dem council running your area, And have an unusual amount of building projects going on, or are suspicious of some actions carried out by them. could you please give us some details in the comments box below.
Thank you!”
