I have a healthy scepticism about all these claims that British Muslims are in Syria for ‘humanitarian’ purposes. Many of them are not working for recognised humanitarian organisations but are there to fight both non-Muslims and those Muslims who their groups see as ‘not Muslim enough’.
Sky News said:
“A Brighton teenager has died in Syria in circumstances that remain “unclear”, police said.
The Foreign Office is urgently looking into the death of 18-year-old Abdullah Deghayes, whose family live in Saltdean, near the south coast city.
The student is the nephew of Omar Deghayes, who was held by the United States as an enemy combatant at Guantanamo Bay detention camp between 2002 and 2007 after he was arrested in Pakistan. He was released without charge.
The teenager’s father told The Argus newspaper he knew of his son’s death but previously had no idea Abdullah had travelled to Syria. It is unclear when he died.
A spokeswoman for the Foreign Office said: “We are aware of the death of a British national and are urgently looking into it.”
The situation in Syria is currently so volatile the UK does not have a representative there, making it difficult to establish the facts.
The government currently advises against all travel to Syria and says it cannot offer consular services.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “On Monday, April 14, we received information that an 18-year-old Brighton man had been killed in Syria in recent weeks.”

I’m not going to gloat over his death although I will say that this is probably one less Jihadist or Islamic extremist pumped up on Koran and testosterone to return and trouble this country.
It is sad that here is a young man who if he hadn’t involved himself too deeply in the Religion of rape and murder would probably have been alive today. This is another death where the blame for it can be laid at the door of Islam.
