It is now becoming clear that the three Yeshiva (religious college) students kidnapped by Islamic terrorists in the Shomron area of Israel may well have been abducted by the members of Hamas. The fact that the Israeli authorities have arrested a significant number of Hamas members or supporters and is evidence to support a Hamas involvement.
How can the Israelis be expected to make peace with people like this? Would you make peace with those who wish to kill you or who kidnap teenagers or who send mentally retarded young people to be suicide bombers? I wouldn’t, in fact I would go much further and would see such people as an implacable enemy that needs to be either humanely contained, removed to a geographical location where they can do less damage or in extremis, ruthlessly destroyed.
Yet these are the thugs and fascists whom the State of Israel is expected by the Left and the ‘international community’, to make peace with. It is fruitless, pointless and suicidal to make peace or give concessions to any Arab group, because they are incapable of living in peace with others. For hundreds of years Muslim Arabs, especially their religious and political leaders, have waged war on Jews and Christians in the North Africa, Middle East and Levant regions. Fired up by the utter and complete intolerance of Islam, ‘Palestinians’, their violent supporters and other violent Muslim groups have turned many of the countries surrounding Israel into a killing fields.
The problems in the Middle East, in Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Jordan and other places are not caused by conflicts over territory or access to water or jobs or any other logical reason, they are caused mostly by the ideology of Islam itself. The intolerance and blood-lust of this ideology appear almost boundless. It is also an ideology that is immune to the concept of compromise. That may sound harsh but a brief look at Israel’s ‘Land for Peace’ policy which saw Gaza stripped of its Jewish residents and handed over to the Muslims, shows the futility of such an action. You cannot compromise with those who do not respect compromises.
In civilised countries and civilised societies, the art of compromise has been learned, we sometimes take less from a social transaction than we would like, for the sake of peace and harmony. In Gaza, the Israelis thought like civilised people and swapped Gaza and parts of Yehuda and Shomron with the ‘Palestinians’ in exchange for peace. What happened was the Arabs got the land but did not deliver the peace they had promised. The Arabs saw a civilised compromise and used it as a springboard to demand more and more and more.
The problems of Islamic violence that Israel is facing is not a little local difficulty because Israel is on the front line of a war against civilisation, that is being waged against us all too many of the followers of the ideology of Islam. Today it is Israeli towns and cities, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Sderot amongst many others which suffer from Islamic violence like kidnaps, rocket attacks, random murders, rapes and suicide bombers. Tomorrow it could be a list of British towns and cities like Telford, Jarrow, Hereford or Sheffield being mentioned in connection to the horrors of Islamic violence. The constant whining demands and lack of willingness to live in peace with others that we see coming from Britain’s Muslim community are very similar to the constant whining demands of the ‘Palestinians’, and will ultimately have the same violent and intolerant outcome.
No matter what religion or politics a person follows, it should be plain to see that supporting Israel is supporting those who are fighting for civilisation and against barbarism. What side do you want to be seen on, the civilised side or the barbarians side?
