Kevin Hurley, Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey
Earlier today I was on Twitter and interloped into, and then got engaged in a conversation with others, that touched on the current problems of Islamic Rape Gangs. Included in that conversation was someone purporting to be the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey, Mr Kevin Hurley. The trigger for the conversation was one tweeter, @nonjob1 , noticing that Mr Hurley had been following them and favouring most of their tweets. These tweets, as you can see, took aim at some of the most sacred cows of Leftism and took the rise out of the Islamic State terror group.
Although the opinions of @nonjob1 in these and other communications may not to be to everyone’s taste, they are just opinions, nothing more, which can be agreed with or disagreed with, as any individual chooses. The publication of these Tweets seemed to send Mr Kevin Hurley, the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey into an apoplectic rage. Mr Hurley then took to Twitter and engaged in what many may perceive as threats and bullying.
Mr Hurley said:

I was astounded that a person in such a public position as Mr Hurley would spend so much time, on his day off as Mr Hurley said, calling people criminals for cracking jokes or expressing an opinion. It is even more concerning that Mr Hurley believes he can use his position to threaten people for having opinions with which he disagrees. Mr Hurley, who was elected in a contest that saw on average only 15% of voters bother to turn out, is a former Paratrooper of distinguished conduct. It pains me to see someone of this background swallow the poisoned intellectual and political ‘Kool-Aid’, of multiculturalism and the fetishisation of ‘diversity’. In his current position, Mr Hurley should learn that he cannot demand that people should think this way or that.
At roughly the same time as he said that he had a ‘zero tolerance approach to criminal behaviour Mr Hurley said:

In my personal opinion, I think that Lancashire Police probably have enough on their hands with all the Islamic Grooming Gangs that are operating in their area, without having to deal with moans from thin-skinned and intolerant martinets like Mr Hurley.
It is a testament to the reduced calibre of those who are supposed to be serving us as Police and Crime Commissioners, to see Mr Hurley’s reaction to opinions that he doesn’t appear to like and I told him as such on Twitter.
Mr Hurley, to be racist, is wrong, to be homophobic is wrong, but to be Islamophobic, is the height of common sense because Islam IS a threat. It is a testament to the calibre of those who are PCCs that here we have the PCC for Surrey taking to twitter and attempting to bully and threaten those with whom they disagree. Mr Hurley you appear to be part of the police’s problems rather than a solution to them.

Mr Hurley’s attempt to impose his censorious attitudes on Twitter had, as you can imagine, quite the opposite effect. Mr Hurley’s Twitter feed is, at the time of writing, full of people either taking the piss out of him and his censoriousness, in one instance with someone calling him ‘a weapons grade bellend’ or more kindly, telling him that when he is a hole he should stop digging.
I’d like to end this piece by asking Mr Hurley a question; What exactly are Surrey Police going to do about the Islamic Grooming Gangs that are inevitably working in your area? I would prefer the answer to not contain any bullshit bureaucrat-ese phrases such as how Surrey Police are taking a ‘strategic approach’ to the problem of Islamic sex criminals.
If Mr Hurley was still a member of a police force, then he would be well in the running for the award of ‘most PC PC’. Personally I think that we should all be thankful that Mr Hurley has settled into a ‘non-job’, where he spouts his brains on Twitter and is no longer in a position of responsibility, such as when he was head of the City of London Police’s Anti-Terror branch. I think I can sleep safer knowing that Mr Hurley is not controlling those in charge of our security.

Hurley has zero thought on almost everything. That Surrey Police Federation is his main backing, speaks for itself.
Looks like the twitter account is genuine. He has very a ‘sure of himself’ attitude which looks to spill over into his twitterings lol. Also in many conversations with other plod and PCCs on Twitter timeline.
That link on his profile to his website is a dead link, website expired – so must have used it for promoting himself for PCC.
Seems he is keen to get involved with Social Media – which fits in with his twitter ranting persona

It was both a pleasure and a duty to step in and speak up. It is police officers and ex police officers and PCC’s like Hurley and Wright, Hogan-Howe and Chris Sims who have brought their police forces to the state where they are only slightly more trusted than door to door pikey tarmac salesmen.

I understand that Kevin Hurley was a Metropolitan Police officer (who allegedly resigned under mysterious circumstances) before becoming Surrey PCC and was a member of a TA branch of the Parachute Regiment. Whether he actually earned his wings by completing the para course and doing his aircraft drops, is not known. If he didn’t then his wearing of Parachute Regiment insignia is purely honorary (he has been photographed wearing a Parachute Regiment tie). Many things have apparently been said about Kevin Hurley but “distinguished conduct” has not been used very often by those who know him.
