A supreme example of the language of dissembling and obfuscation has been on display on the website of the Gloucester Citizen newspaper. In an article where Muslim leaders condemn the murder of Alan Henning, we saw local Gloucester Muslims desperate to deflect attention away from the fact that the guiding ideology of the ISIS jihadist group is…..Islam.
The Gloucester Citizen said:
“Leaders of the Muslim community in Gloucester have condemned the murder of a British aid worker by terrorist organisation Islamic State on an Islamic holy day.
Former taxi-driver Alan Henning, 47, was beheaded by a British-accented IS fighter who said it was in retaliation for the UK’s air strikes in Syria and Iraq.
It happened on the eve of Eid al Adha, the Muslim’s festival of sacrifice, which also celebrates the end of the annual pilgrimage, or hajj, to Mecca.
Gloucester City Cllr Said Hansdot (Lab, Barton and Tredworth) has joined thousands in the Muslim community blasting the terrorist group for the murders and rejecting its claims it is a Muslim organisation.
“My heart goes out to his friends and family. My condolences go to his wife Barbara,” he said.
“It was un-Islamic to do this. All he was doing was helping the people out there. He should have been released.
“They say they are doing it under the name of Islam but they are doing it under their own banner.”
Firstly I didn’t see ‘thousands’ in the picture from the Citizen newspaper and neither to be quite honest, have I seen thousands of Muslims on the streets protesting the savagery that they continue to say is ‘nothing to do with Islam’.
As is quite common in these situations after the condemnations and the condolences, comes the whining, the justifications and the criticisms of the political and military policies of free world countries.
The Gloucester Citizen added:
“However the father-of-four does not believe the UK should send troops to the region but should concentrate on rescuing hostages.
“They are trying to goad us to go over there, the government needs to do more to release these hostages,” he said,
“I do not think war changed anything in the 14 years before. 450 soldiers died and how many thousands of civilians died?”
Fellow Barton Cllr Usman Bhaimia (Lab) said the news had been very distressing to hear and added the group were clearly not Muslims after wrongly using words such as Jihad and Caliphate.
“There are no words to describe this. I am sure they are not Muslim, to do this on Eid is terrible,” he said.”
So, Councillor Bhaimia, if they are not Muslim, what are they then? Are they followers of the Flying Spaghetti Monster? Of course they are not they are followers of Islam, like the perpetrators of all the other 23,988 terror attacks that have occurred since September 11th 2001.
He then proceeded to turn up the taqiyya, dissembling for Islam, up to 11 by saying:
“A caliphate has to have the whole community’s support, it is democratic system, and they have not been elected. If people do not agree, they are killing them. It is not right.”
Somehow I don’t think many Islamic Caliphates would meet the dictionary definition of the word ‘democratic’.
Cllr Bhaimia added:
“Cllr Bhaimia thinks the UK government needs to provide a strong reaction to the killing that should not fall short of sending in troops, claiming airstrikes kill many civilians to little effect.
“Our government hasn’t done enough. We should have challenged them and gone and wiped them out before they get stronger,” he said.
“The thing is we do not know who ISIS is or who is backing them. I want to target IS, air strikes end up killing innocent civilians.”
On this point it is difficult to disagree with Cllr Bhaimia in that ISIS need to be wiped out, whether we should risk British ground troops to do this, or whether we should just carpet bomb the bastards back to the stone age, and not be concerned with causing collateral damage, is a matter for legitimate debate.
Every time there is an Islamic atrocity, whether that be a suicide bomber taking the lives of the innocent or some poor bastard being decapitated with a bread-knife, you get the Islamic ‘nothing to do with us guv’nor’ types crawling out of the woodwork. I don’t know about you but cannot take such denials seriously anymore. It is dishonest to claim that ISIS, Al Qaida, Boko Haram and all other similar Savages, have nothing to do with Islam. I’d have more respect for those featured in this story if, just for once, that they admitted that the root cause of Islamic violence, terror and oppression is Islam itself.

“or whether we should just carpet bomb the bastards back to the stone age”
Bit difficult, really.
The stone age would be a distinct improvement…in fact it would advance their “civilisation” by a couple of thousand years.
