You don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to unpick the latest bit of unprovoked violence aimed at a teenage rememberance poppy seller, to discern either then hand of, or the influence of Islam.
The poppy seller was aged 15 and was waiting for a bus after selling poppies in Manchester City Centre. Whilst at the stop he was approached by a ‘black or asian’ man carrying a aerosol can and a lighter. The assailant lit the aerosol gas and used it as an impromptu blowtorch on the poppy seller causing minor burns to the face. This poppy seller was lucky, his injuries could have been far worse than they were. That he was not more seriously injured is sheer luck.
Here’s how the Belfast Telegraph reported this attack:
“The 15-year-old boy was waiting at a bus stop at 6pm yesterday in Manchester city centre when a man approached him with an aerosol can and lighter and sprayed him with lit fumes.
The cadet, who was wearing his camouflaged uniform, suffered minor burns to his face and singed hairs in his face and right forearm, Greater Manchester Police said.
The offender, described as black or Asian, 5ft 8in tall and wearing a dark hooded top, walked off from the bus stop by the Manchester Gallery opposite George Street without saying a word.
Police said that he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and was staggering.
Detective Inspector Liam Boden said: “This is an absolutely appalling attack on a young man who was raising money to help remember all those who gave their lives fighting bravely for their country.
“At this stage of our inquiries, we’re keeping an open minded as to what motivated the offender to commit such an act.
“Given the initial description we have of the offender, it may be that he was under the influence of something but whatever his motivation, his violent actions could have scarred this young man for life. Although he has suffered some minor injuries, it is pure luck that he did not sustain more serious burns to his face and body.
“Understandably both he and his family are in a state of total shock and cannot believe someone would do this.
“We need to find whomever is responsible for this crime and I would therefore appeal to anyone who has information that could help. This happened at a very busy time in the city centre, near a main bus route, and there could be lots of people who saw this man staggering around.
“If you do have information then please come forward.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
The police who are searching for the assailant are saying that they are ‘keeping an open mind’ on the motivation for this attack, but this attack has all the hallmarks of an Islamic attack for the following reasons.
Firstly, this assailant must have observed this poppy seller at his work and followed him to the bus stop. We are seeing much more of this planned violence from our Bearded Savages. The attack on Lee Rigby, for example, was not a spur of the moment thing, it was planned in advance.
Secondly, it is apparent that he was attacked because he was wearing a variant of British military uniform. Now which group is it that hates the very British troops who protect this nation? Could it be the Methodists, no it’s the Muslims again. So far the evidence is stacking up that this could be an Islamic attack. The choice of target is very much an ‘Islamic’ choice.
Thirdly, the attacker was described as ‘Black or Asian’ and although Islamic savages can come in all colours, black, white, brown or yellow, in Britain many of our Bearded Savages are black or asian. This is not a racist comment, this is a statement of fact. We do have a lot of South Asian Bearded Savages in Britain and we also have Black Britons who have either been born into Islam or who have converted to it. In other places and in other attacks, there have been Islamic savages who are white. It’s not the colour of the skin that is the issue here but the ideology carried under the skin that is of concern.
Fourthly, there are a lot of Bearded Savages, not all of them ‘non-hostile’ who reside in the Manchester area. That’s a lot of potential for some of them to suffer from ‘sudden jihad syndrome’. There may also have been targeting by jihadists of the mentally ill who are persuaded to convert to Islam and then carry out attacks.
Finally, the police seem to be clutching at straws in trying to say this was not an Islamic attack. They are playing up initial reports that the assailant was under the influence of alcohol, probably in the hope that people will not say ‘I bet this bastard was a Muslim’. It is becoming a well observed phenomenon of the various UK police forces that they go out of their way not to say anything uncomplimentary about either Muslims or Islam. When the police say things about an assailant such as ‘he may have been drunk’, ‘we’re keeping an open mind’, ‘not sure about motivation’ and he appeared to be ‘on something’, then you can bet your bottom dollar that Greater Manchester Police may be more aware of the circumstances of this offence than they are letting on.
The chosen target, the demographic of the assailant, the deliberate planning of the assault, the police’s weasel words, all go to build up suspicion that this was indeed an Islamic attack on someone who was merely raising money to support British forces veterans. This attack may indeed turn out to just be that of a violent, drunken nutter, of which there are many, but many people reading this piece will not rule out the assailant having been influenced by the ideology of Islam. There is just too much circumstancial evidence that points to there being some Islamic motive in this attack.
So what do you reckon, mentally ill violent piss-head, or someone warped in some way by the influence of Islam? I know what my money would be on.

Belfast Telegraph story of poppy seller attack in Manchester
Perhaps we have a few youthfull looking SAS men about who could try selling poppies. I doubt they would find enough of the monkey-boy to bury!
Haji…..it’s a knocking bet.
A ‘drunk and staggering’ attacker must cast a little doubt on his assumed religion…whilst not ruling out the possibility that he may be Muslim. But the motive is unknown and neither is it clear whether police have witnesses.
Perhaps it is wiser to keep an open mind in such circumstances.
I’d be more inclined to keep an open mind if the target had been different. We cannot rule out jihadis prepping those with alcohol, drug or mental illness issues to carry out attacks.
