There seems to have been a serious underestimation on the part of the United Kingdom’s authorities and security services about just how many ‘British’ Muslims have either aligned themselves with the savages of ISIS or have gone off to fight with them. Even as of June 2014 it was alleged by news reports that there are at least 1,500 ‘British’ Muslims who have gone off to fight Jihad and it is unlikely to be less than that by now and may well be considerably more. It could also be that the previous 1,500 figure is a gross underestimation.
We could have thousands upon thousands of Barbarian Islamic traitors heading for various Jihad zones from Britain. Along with that problem there is also the Jihadi support networks that have been set up by ‘British’ Muslims in order to get fighters out to places like Syria and Iraq and we also have to contend with issue of Jihadists being smuggled back into the UK via the EU’s leaky southern borders and facilitated by false paperwork.
There is no doubt in my mind that we in the UK face a serious problem with violent Islamic fifth columnists, and no amount of wishful thinking or parroting the lie that Islam is a religion of peace, can either hide or detract from that problem. It is also monumentally stupid to think that supporting the families of those Muslims at risk of becoming involved in Jihad will do anything either. Although many families of ‘British’ jihadis make a great show of saying ‘we knew nothing’ the time has come to treat such claims with the suspicion they deserve. It is almost completely impossible to divorce Islam from jihadist violence, because violence against non-Muslims is at the core of Islamic belief and theology. The call to violence and aggression is hard-wired into Islam and to be quite frank, the continual denials that ‘we knew nothing’ are more and more beginning to look like bare faced lies.
It may feel uncomfortable for some to have to contemplate the idea, but maybe it is time for some form of collective punishment to be aimed by the state at ‘British’ Muslims, even if it is just interning, jailing removing the citizenship from, or forcibly expelling, the members of the immediate families of jihadis who have originated in the United Kingdom? If the authorities want Muslims to play their part in countering jihad, then they must be forced to do so, because far too many of them don’t seem to be willing to control their own nutters and extremists on a voluntary basis.
Other minority communities have often managed to voluntarily sort out their own wasters, criminals and fraggles and in some cases, as with British Jews in the 18th/19th century, the local Jewish community sometimes had a whip-round to pay those who made the community look bad to leave the country. ‘Don’t make all of us look bad’ were the watchwords in these cases. Hindus and Sikhs have encouraged their members to integrate without damaging their religious beliefs, and some Black Britons in some really bad areas of Britain have returned to the Christianity of their forebears because it offers a better moral basis for life than the ‘it’s not your fault’ ‘let it all hang out’ liberalism being preached in the schools. These communities are making and have made the efforts to rein in their nutters and extremists that either have stained or have the potential to stain their people’s, and the question needs to be asked: ‘why have not Muslims done the same?’
‘British’ Muslims have not done nearly enough to deal with the problem of Jihadism. They could have done more but have chosen to do very little. This lack of action by the Muslim community and the obfuscation and sometimes downright lies that we get from Islamic families and community representatives feeds suspicions among non-Muslims that we are all being taken for mugs and that support for Jihad is much more widespread among Muslims than we have been told by the authorities.
Unlike any other religious belief that is present in the UK it is only Islam that is so closely linked with treason, sedition and violence to such a huge extent and it is now long past time that we as a nation started coming down hard on it. Those who say that a crackdown on Islam is an affront to the idea of religious freedom have never studied Islam, have never lived in an Islamic community and have never looked at the abject and fearful conditions that non-Muslims live in nations where Islam rules. It’s time to look at what Muslims do rather than listen to what they say. We’ve too often taken the words of Muslims at face value but events and actions speak much louder than the empty and dishonest words of Muslim leaders and Islamic apologists
