This month’s ‘Neville’ award is an unusual one. It’s not going to an arch appeaser of Islam like David Cameron the Prime Minister, or someone like Neville Meredith of Herefordshire who is going hell for leather to impose a mosque on a county that really doesn’t seem to want one, or to a councillor who gives a building away to an Islamic group. This months award given for the non-Muslim who most abjectly crawls and kow tows to Islam is an ‘Offendotron’. For those who don’t know an Offendotron is someone who immediately and often inappropriately, takes offence either because they were personally offended or someone else was ‘offended’. The Offendotron can be guaranteed to pop up whenever a minority is offended or to shout ‘racist’ at anybody who disagrees with them.
The Offendotron in question, and the unlucky recipient of this month’s award, is a gentleman called Chris Halkou whom this blog wrote about last month. The reason he is getting the award is for this month is as follows:
When the Ahmadiyya Mosque in Morden, South London suffered a fire, which two teenagers have been charged with starting, the Leftie handwringing about the fire started in earnest. Local councillors in the area expressed their sorrow about the fire and said that the mosque was a ‘beautiful’ place. Sickmaking as this sort of sycophancy towards Islamic groups is in itself, they were trumped by Chris Halkou’s utterances on social media and his readiness to be offended on behalf of Muslims.
Prior to the fire one of the big poster site companies had placed a poster near the now burning mosque of a forthcoming film, starring Bradley Cooper called ‘Burnt’. Chris Halkou saw this poster and had what can really only be described as an attack of the vapours, and went full ‘Offendotron’ (never go full Offendotron) over the unfortunate, but innocent juxtaposition of poster and burning mosque.
Chris Halkou not only showed his dubious ability to be offended on behalf of Muslims and show the world that he is a ‘grass for Islam’ by reporting the poster to the local council, he also showed himself to be a virtue signaller. He saw no shame in boosting his own social justice warrior image by going onto Twitter and showing the world that he was ‘offended’ by the poster. This you can see from the image below.
Unfortunately Mr Halkou forgot that Twitter is not a private medium and he suddenly found himself face to face, or rather pixel to pixel with those whose views about the poster, the fire and a whole lot of other stuff was radically different from his own.
There is something so deliciously, stupidly ironic about Chris Halkou. Here’s a man who describes himself as: “ ‘aged 20. Politics. Sociology. Cultural Christian. Bisexual. Human rights, activism. #FreePalestine‘, “ yet he is assisting the very ideology that hates Christians, bisexuals and human rights activists.
I have to ask does Mr Halkou give any thought to what it is like to be a culturally Christian, bisexual person who supports human rights in the Islamic world? Probably not. I’ll tell him anyway, it’s hell to be different in a savage Islamic crap hole, just ask anyone who has the misfortune to live in one. Nobody who believes in freedom of religion or the right of LGB people to be themselves should do anything at all to assist or make excuses for Islam. About the only thing that he and I could possibly agree on is the ‘free Palestine’ bit, however, rather than wishing to see the Pals free of the Israelis, I would prefer to see the ‘Palestinians’ freed from the grip of Hamas and Fatah, because it’s these two entities that stops Pals from progressing.

Chris Halkou, for your abject pandering to local Muslims, your ‘virtue signalling’ and your willingness to run to the local council and ‘grass for Islam’, you have been awarded the October 2015 ‘British Neville Chamberlain Award’.

As it was an Ahmadiyya mosque, it is possible that it was done by other Muslims. They are not officially Muslims in Pakistan etc which for me would be a great compliment but for them an insult
That is a very good point and may also be the other reason, apart from the Children and Young Persons Act, why so little has leaked out about motive. You can be as sure as eggs is eggs that if there was even the sniff of any ‘far right’ or other similar political involvement then it would hve been trumpeted by the Lefty media.
I wonder if anyone can get to the court when this happens – please let us know if any of your blog’s informants find out.
I’ll put some feelers out. If it’s teenagers and ‘culturally sensitive’ then it may even be disposed of out of court.
