The ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement is a movement based on lies. It is a movement that makes ‘heroes’ out of criminals and spins dishonest yarns about how Black Americans are being unjustly gunned down by ‘racist’ police. We’ve seen a whole slew of these fake ‘heroes’ such as Freddy Gray and Michael Brown exposed as violent thugs, often with long police records who either died accidentally whilst in custody or were lawfully killed by police officers. As with these cases so it is with the case of Keith Lamont Scott. This is a man who refused to drop his gun when he got into a confrontation with police officers and because of that was shot dead. The family came up with some outrageous guff about how he was shot whilst peacefully reading a book, but the truth, about Keith Lamont Scott, as Front Page Magazine has revealed, is much more mundane and shows the moral vaccuousness of the Left and the Black Lives Matter Movement.

Daniel Greenfield writing in Front Page Magazine said:

Keith Lamont Scott was scum.

He had been convicted of assault with a deadly weapon in two different states and convicted of assault in three states. He had been hit with “assault with intent to kill” charges in the 90s. His record of virtue included “assault on a child under 12” and “assault on a female.”

The media spin; “Family and neighbors call Scott a quiet ‘family man.’”

Nothing says “quiet” like “assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill” and nothing says “family man” like assaulting women and children.

Keith Lamont Scott, the latest martyr of Black Lives Matter and its media propaganda corps, was shot while waving a gun around. He had spent 7 years in jail for “aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.”

This vicious monster’s career of crime ended when he was shot by Brentley Vinson, an African-American police officer, protecting himself from the latest rampage by this “quiet family man.”

Brentley Vinson is everything that Scott isn’t. The son of a police officer, Brentley dreamed of following in his father’s footsteps. He used to organize his football team’s bible studies and mentored younger players. Former teammates describe him as a “great guy” with “good morals.” His former coach calls him a “natural leader” and says that, “We need more Brent Vinsons… in our communities.”

Except that Obama, Black Lives Matter, the media, the NAACP and everyone else going after this bright and decent African-American officer has decided that what we really need are more Keith Lamont Scotts. And the streets of Charlotte are full of “Scotts” throwing rocks at police, assaulting reporters and wrecking everything in sight in marches that are as “peaceful” as Scott was a “quiet family man.”

That’s what Hillary Clinton wanted when she tweeted that, “We have two names to add to a long list of African-Americans killed by police officers. It’s unbearable, and it needs to become intolerable.”

What exactly should be intolerable? An African-American police officer defending his life against a violent criminal who happened to be black? Should black criminals enjoy a special immunity? The greatest victims of black criminals are black communities.”

This lauding of violent criminals by the Left is the very last thing that America’s Black communities need at this moment. Black Americans need many things to repair their communities and their areas such as more stable families, better education, jobs and the freedom to achieve more than what the Left want them to achieve. However what they don’t need is Left wingers calling good evil and evil good, which is what they are doing when they take scum like Keith Lamont Scott and call him a ‘peaceful family man’. The American Left appears to want Black Americans to remain on the reservation that has been created for them. It’s a reservation of welfare dependency, single parenthood, low educational attainment and the sort of deadly crime and violence that means that in some cities a Black American man will not see the age of 50, so likely is it that they will be killed, too often by other Black Americans.

The American Left, just like a lot of the British Left, doesn’t care about Black people, it just wants their votes. The Left seem to be quite happy for Black Americans to live in violent, unenlightened squalor but seem unwilling or unable to work with Black Americans to lift up this community with freedom, education and personal and social responsibility. What we see in American cities is an expression of the ‘racism of low expectations’ of the Left. Black Americans deserve much more than they’ve got from their Leftist politicians and maybe it’s time to, in the words of the Black American writer C Mason Weaver, ‘leave the Plantation’ that the Left have put Black Americans on.

The Left have let down many people over the decades but the way they have let down Black Americans is a wasteful tragedy. Maybe in this or future US election cycles Black Americans will give their votes to those politicians who will give them the freedom to succeed, instead of, as has been the case, only voting for those who will keep them caged in ghettos of poverty and violence.
