The British people keep getting told by our politicians that bringing Islam to the UK has been ‘beneficial’ and how having Islam as part of the patchwork quilt of diversity makes us stronger. However, the reality of having the ideology of Islam as a guest in our country is very different from the fantasy espoused by the politicians.
Granted Islam has brought a lot to these Islands but has it brought anything worthwhile? As far as I can see although some individual Muslims have contributed greatly to the UK, the ideology of Islam as a whole has not. Islam has brought us new words, many that we now wish we’d never heard of such as ‘jihad’. Islam has also brought new cultural practises, nearly all of which we could well do without. Islam has ‘gifted’ us female genital mutilation, rape gangs, terrorism, electoral fraud, violence, religious sectarianism, acts of outrageous public dishonesty by Muslims and so much more.
Now Islam has brought us the spectacle of armed police guards on a cathedral Nativity scene. In a country where Christians could once worship in relative peace and where the most that churches had to worry about was a few drunken vandals, now Christian religious organisations have to worry that a deranged Muslim may turn up and kill innocent people with gun or bomb. This culture of violence and fear is what Islam has brought to us.
This should not be happening. Christians should not have to hide their nativity scenes behind armed police guards but they do and the main reason that this is required is primarily because there are enough violent Muslims in the UK to constitute a genuine and credible threat. It’s right and proper to remember why these armed police are in place. It’s not because of any other group apart from Muslims that these police are there. It’s not because of the Catholics or the Methodists or the Hindus, Sikhs or Jews that we have to have such visible and disturbing security procedures in place, it’s because of Islam and Islam only. Also, let us not kid ourselves that these security measures are in place because of an Islamic reaction to ‘British foreign policy’, it’s not this excuse is just so much bullshit, they are in place because Islam is violent and not just in the UK but everywhere. We can look across the world from the USA to Myanmar, from India to Israel, from Nigeria to the Netherlands and we see Muslims causing all manner of problems and committing an avalanche of crimes. Where Islam goes, freedom dies and that has never been more starkly illustrated by the image of armed police officers with automatic weapons who now have to guard a Christmas nativity scene from the depredations of violent Muslims.
