There were a number of demonstrations this past weekend that were put on either in whole or in part, to protest Islamic extremism and the damage it is doing to the United Kingdom. There was one demonstration against the nation’s Islam problems in Edinburgh and two simultaneous but separate demonstrations in London. There were also anti Islamic terror protests such as the Britain First demonstration in Birmingham as well.
In Edinburgh, Scotland, there was a demonstration by the Scottish Defence League angered at recent terror attacks by Muslims which looked like it attracted at least a couple of hundred people. They were faced by what appeared to be a relatively smaller number of opposition mostly made up of students, antifa and Socialist Workers Party supporters. The SDL marchers chanted ‘no more refugees’ and ‘you support child rape’ at the Left wingers. One marcher in the video embedded below noticed that there were no Union or Scottish flags being flown by the Left wingers and Islam appeasers but plenty of Palestinian flags. I must admit I wonder how the Lefties who were there to defend ‘transgender rights’ would fare in the Palestinian areas where gays and trans people are routinely murdered?
In this second video from the SDL demonstration, (which has since publication been unfortunately made a private video) covers the speeches made at the demo, people made passionate speeches decrying the recent Islamic terror attacks and the fact that the government has admitted that 23,000 known Islamic extremists are allowed to walk our streets. There were also speeches about the problems caused by Islamic Rape Gangs and Islamic violence and crime. Speakers also criticised the fact that the police and the government seem to be doing nothing to protect British people or our children. One speaker said on the subject of Islamic terrorists: ‘We don’t want apologies or sympathy following attacks, we want them out’.
One other speaker said that ‘We are not racist, we are not fascist but we say no surrender’. One brave and very sorted female speaker said ‘we have to fight for our children’s future’.
In London there was a much smaller demonstration, probably about a hundred people by my estimation, by members of the English Defence League. These demonstrators also expressed their displeasure at the problems caused by the followers of the ideology of Islam. In one incident EDL marchers, mostly from the sort of working class areas that have been subjected to appalling problems caused by Islam and the fake ‘refugees’ decided to taunt members of the middle class Left such as Antifa by unfurling a ‘Rapeugees Not Welcome’ banner in front of them which resulted in a minor scuffle breaking out. You can see this incident in the video embedded below.
The EDL demonstration was subjected to strict conditions by police and were confined to the Embankment even though they wanted to march to Parliament. Judging by this video below it seems that the majority of the violent rhetoric and indeed violence itself appeared to come from the Left wingers, something that is usually the case.
There was a stunningly informative interview by the video journalist Peter Sweden with a Sikh gentleman who stated that Britons, including British Sikhs, have had enormous amounts of problems with Islamic extremism. He added that he moved here to be in Britain, not a country that looked like Afghanistan. He also said that it would be wrong to have just one culture and that nations should be nations. This interview is about ten minutes long but well worth watching.
Although the SDL and EDL demonstrations in both London and Edinburgh had under a thousand attendees in total these protests were dwarfed by the Football Lads March Against Extremism which saw ten thousand people take to the streets to denounce the, mostly Islamic, extremism that the United Kingdom has been suffering from.
This was an amazing turnout, if the ten thousand figure is correct. It is several orders of magnitude higher than the 3.5K people who marched against Islamic hate in Manchester on June 11th 2017.
The Football Lads march saw football supporters from across the country put aside their football related tribal differences and instead turn their ire not on their traditional sporting rivals but on a government that is doing virtually nothing to protect ordinary Britons from Islamic predation. Judging by the video below, The Football Lads march was devoid of football colours and flags and was a dignified but angry march against the ongoing and worsening problems of Islamic violence gang rape and extremism.
In the video below by Suni Ray Templar, one of the organisers of the march was interviewed and he said that the Football Lads Alliance had got 30,000 online members in just a few weeks. Another person interviewed here said that he was there to march against all terrorism both those who run over random Muslims and the Islamic terrorists who set off bombs. Those interviewed said that they were adamantly against racism but they recognised that there is a problem with extremism. Apparently there was a large number of supporters from various football clubs who turned out and one man said that there were 700 Spurs supporters alone there. There was a wide variety of non football supporters who turned out including a contingent of Sikhs including one gentleman who said from the makeshift stage that we are ‘one nation, one people and opposed to terrorism, all terrorism’. Football fans from a number of clubs including from traditional rivals such as West Ham United and Millwall FC stood together to protest and to lay wreaths in memory of those murdered by Islamic terrorists during the London Bridge attack.
It seems as if the Football Lads Alliance protest has been an astounding success with very little trouble and with protesters recognising that the problem is not with people’s ‘race’ but with the headspace which sees violence as a way to gain political advantage.
On the subject of the Football Lads Alliance there is an excellent comment video on this matter that has been put out by Simon Harris and you can view this video below:
In Birmingham there was a sizeable demonstration against Islamic terror and disruption put on by the Britain First organisation. Now I am not a supporter of Britain First, I find their politics not to my personal taste, but I have to admit they’ve got a large number of supporters to turn out, more in fact than I would have expected them to get. Even though I’m not a supporter of BF, I must hand it to Jayda Fransen, one of the leaders of BF, who did very well when faced with a screaming Muslim female provocateur. As us often the case with these demonstrations it appeared to be Left wingers who were causing trouble and violence and the video shows one Lefty being carted off by police.
In this second video, published by Brandon Hall, we see the Left as usual engaging in violent rhetoric and behaviour. We also saw the Left misappropriating the post-Shoah declaration of ‘never again’, something that I personally find disturbing as well as dishonest as the Left have aligned themselves with the very same Muslims who want to murder Jews.
As to numbers I would estimate that there were at least 150 people at the Britain First march.
What all these demonstrations indicate to me is that the British people have had enough of terrorism, all terrorism but especially the Islamic terror that is slaughtering our children, murdering drinkers on a night out and raping our young women. These demonstrations were a call for the government to protect the British citizen and to crack down on the Islamic extremism that is making all Britons increasingly unsafe.
What is noticeable about these demonstrations is that a number of those taking part were just as condemnatory of vigilante actions against random Muslims as they are of Islamic terrorism. This to my mind is a good thing. Nobody in their right mind wants to see tit for tat killings between Muslims and non Muslims and the marchers in these various demonstrations made this point very clear.
I see these demonstrations as a sign that many Britons are starting to wake up about the danger of Islamic extremism and also to the dangers of a violent non state response to such terror. These events are evidence that tensions are rising because of the problems caused by the more extreme elements of Islam. They are also a sign that people are no longer prepared to be silenced by the Left or the media by the use of ‘snarl’ words such as ‘racist’ or ‘Islamophobe’ or ‘fascist’.
If the government wish to avoid violent conflict in the future then they have to start to recognise that many of these counter Islam and counter extremism marchers have a point that should be listened to. At the moment people are doing their best to peacefully protest Islamic extremism, Islamic rape jihad and also the occasional incidences of violent public reaction to such problems, of which the Finsbury Park incident may well be one.
However, if the government do not listen and merely double down on the smears and lies about those who are protesting Islamic terror, then things could get more angry and more ugly and will get so very quickly. Like many of the marchers who took part in the patriot and anti extremism protests this weekend, I want to see a political and policing solution to the problems brought to our Islands by Islam, rather than violent vigilantism. But, if this political and policing solution is not carried out by government, then the wilder and more violent voices will start to find that they have more of an audience than they may have had before and that will bode very ill for the future.
Britons are starting to rise up against the mostly Islamic threats to their communities and their nation and I hope that these threats are dealt with effectively by government before people turn in desperation to violent hotheads armed with flaming torches and bad attitudes.
MInor point, but can we all get back to specifying whether we mean “protesting in favour of” or “protesting against” something ? To “protest something” is simply meaningless, and even confusing when the same construction is used to mean oppposite things…..
ie – if “protesting Islamic terror” now means protesting AGAINST Islamic terror, then what does it now mean to describe an accused man as “protesting his innocence” ? That he’s indignantly claiming to be guilty ?
