The economic reality of Merkel’s migrants starts to hit German politicians

German Interior Minister Thomas De Maizeiere

A German minister has finally, at least in part, admitted that Germany’s generous welfare system is the main driver of third world and Islamic migration to Europe. This migration wave, which as we have seen is both socially and economically costly and increasingly unwanted by ordinary European citizens, is putting both German citizens and the German economy under increasing pressure.

The German interior minister Thomas de Maizière has admitted that Germany’s welfare system is acting like a magnet for migrants and that this is a ‘pull factor’ in directing welfare seeking migrants to Germany. To be quite frank, I’m very surprised that it has taken Mr De Maiziere so long to work this one out. Any sane person on the street could have seen that coupling a generous welfare system with an open borders policy would be an utter disaster. Germany’s politicians have failed to see that a nation can either have a generous social safety net, or it can have high migration rates, it cannot sustainably have both.

Germany’s advanced social welfare system has indeed been a magnet for every freeloader, criminal, thug or workshy wastrel in the Islamic world. Among these ‘migrants’ there have also come the jihadis that are showing that they are increasingly willing to murder European citizens in order advance their brand of Islam. These migrants from backward societies have brought with them not just a sense of aggressive self entitlement when it comes to welfare but also a fair number of attitudes that are plainly clashing with ordinary German and European societies. Attacks on women and children have risen in Germany and other nations who have taken in these ‘migrants’, because these ‘migrants’ often come from highly misogynistic cultures and cultures that have no social prohibition on paedophilia become more numerous. The social cost of Merkel’s folly has been astounding in Germany, with women steadily losing their freedom to walk the streets safely in areas that are now dominated by members of Merkel’s mobile Muslim mayhem.

Germany’s politicians it seems is just starting to get an idea just how much Merkel’s folly is going to cost the German taxpayer. Unfortunately the solution to the problem of Germany being a ‘wastrel magnet’ that Mr De Maiziere proposes is one that is breathtaking in its stupidity and ineffectualness

His suggestion is that other European nations make their welfare systems more like that of Germany and that way other nations will also become magnets for migrants thereby reducing the stress on Germany.

This is not the way to tackle the migrant crisis, this is a way to make it worse, far worse. Instead of having one country instituting a migrant policy that is plainly suicidal, Mr De Maizire’s would compel all European nations to commit suicide with Germany. This is not just a proposed policy that should be resisted by other EU nations, but one that shows just how screwed up and detached from reality some members of the German political establishment really are.

The true way to tackle the horrific problems that Germany’s political class has dumped on Europe’s nations is to stop the flow of migrants by force if necessary. Border fences and armed border patrols may do much to put off the chancers and criminals who are taking advantage of European nations, but who are bringing sod all of value to them. The Hungarians for example have been vilified by left wing activists, naïve religious hand wringers and the left leaning press because of Hungary’s migrant deterrent policy, but it has been this policy of building fences to deter this invasion that has been proven to be the one that protects Hungarian citizens. If Hungary had bankrupted itself to become just as much of a migrant magnet as Germany has become then we would be seeing similar migrant crime problems in Hungary as we have seen in Germany. Victor Orban may not be everyone’s cup of tea, I don’t concur with all his words or actions, but shutting the border to these dangerous migrants was one of his more admirable actions as a leader.

We in Europe need effective and if necessary harsh measures to be taken by our governments to stop a migrant wave that is bringing little apart from destruction. Politicians like Mr De Maizire are not the ones who will bring in the very necessary policies that we need to defend our nations and our people, his policy will bring nothing more than yet more destruction to our shores.
