If there is one thing that the US President Donald Trump is supremely good at then it is triggering lunatic left wingers. In this latest case not only has he successfully triggered some of the worst of Britain’s Left and Islamic nutters, but he has also managed to get people wondering what all the fuss is about? He’s also managed to get the public thinking about and talking about the issue of Islam and Islamic violence.
This furore started when President Trump tweeted some video of alleged Islamic atrocities, most of which appear to be genuine. The problem is President Trump used stuff from the social media account of the anti-Islam group Britain First. This fact sent the Left into an overdrive of indignation screaming about how terrible it was that President Trump was re tweeting the output of a ‘far right’ group. The mainstream media and the conservative-in-name-only political Establishment went apeshit over this and sources tell me that the Twitter timeline of the mendacious grievance mongering taqiyya artists of Tell Mama has been a full on whole day whine about this issue.
Here’s Sky News reporting on Number Ten’s ‘concerns’ about this incident. As is usual policy for this blog any original source material is in italics whereas this blog’s comments are in plain text.
Downing Street has said it was “wrong” for Donald Trump to share anti-Muslim videos posted online by the far-right group Britain First.
First of all these are not ‘anti Muslim videos’ these are videos purporting to be videos of Islamic atrocities and although there is a question about the authenticity of one of them, the others are likely to be true. Some such as the church desecration are videos that I have seen before. These are not anti Muslim videos they are videos showing Islamic violence, there is a big difference between the two things. Secondly there is the use by Downing Street of the smear ‘far right’. This term, like ‘racist’ and ‘Islamophobe’ is a snarl word used in this context to try to put their opponents beyond the pale. The problem with the term ‘far right’ is that it can be very flexible and can be twisted to encompass those who deserve the term such as national socialists and groups that merely dislike the murderous ideology of Islam. I for example have been described as ‘far right’ even though I have a track record for marching against the likes of the National Front and probably have better anti racist credentials than many of the Left do. I do not subscribe to many of the views expressed by Britain First nor am I a member or a supporter of theirs, but they are correct in their assessment that the ideology of Islam is a problem.
The US President retweeted three posts by the organisation’s deputy leader Jayda Fransen to his 43.6 million followers, including unverified footage purporting to show Muslims committing crimes.
So what? Does it really matter what the source is in this case?
Responding to Mr Trump’s actions, Prime Minister Theresa May’s official spokesman said: “It is wrong for the president to have done this.
No it isn’t. He or his team saw these videos of Islamic atrocities and distributed them on the President’s Twitter feed. He was perfectly within his rights no matter what the source that was promoting them to point out to the world the savagery of this horrific ideology.
“Britain First seeks to divide communities through their use of hateful narratives which peddles lies and stokes tensions.
Horseshit!! The dividing has already been done by the followers of Mohammed. They are the ones that have brought extreme religious violence to a country that had become civilised and mostly got away from all that. Number Ten seems very enthusiastic about accusing Britain First of using ‘hateful narratives’ but does nothing about the anti Christian, anti-Jewish, anti-women, anti-gay and anti British narratives that are being promulgated in mosques up and down the United Kingdom. This is the real problem not Britain First’s online videos. As regards stoking tensions, then a constant diet of Islamic atrocities, that have killed dozens in the UK alone this year, and the ongoing problem of Islamic sex crime does much more to stoke tensions than anything Britain First could do or dream of doing. On the subject of Britain First peddling lies then that is a bit like the pot calling the kettle black isn’t it? After all, following every Islamic atrocity in Europe and the UK in recent years haven’t we had politicians like Theresa May and David Cameron saying the dishonest words, ‘Islam is a religion of peace’? Isn’t that a bigger lie than any Britain First could tell?
“The British people overwhelmingly reject the prejudice of Britain First that is the antithesis of the values of our country.”
Are you sure about that Number Ten, or is that merely the view from inside the Westminster bubble? From where I sit BF look quite popular, have a good reach and are picking up on an issue, that of Islam, that quite rightly worries a lot of people. I love the way that the Number Ten spokesperson bangs on about ‘British values’ but they forget that one of the prime British values, one that many Britons and Empire troops fought and died for was freedom of speech. It is this value that has been mercilessly attacked by governments of both Left and Right in the UK over the last decade or so. Number Ten also fail to see that it is not mindless and unknowing prejudice that has caused a growing dislike of Islam, which has in turn been reflected in the growth of groups like Britain First, but familiarity with Islam. Britons are more than capable of judging individuals fairly no matter what their race or faith, but familiarity with the ideology of Islam and this ideology’s extensive dark side has caused Britons to be quite rightly somewhat hostile to and wary of Islam. It’s not Britain First that has caused a dislike of Islam nor is it the work of any other group or individual, it is the behaviour of too many of the adherents of Islam that has done that.
The rest of the Sky article is a litany of left wing whingers like Chuka Umana, Corbyn and the widow of murdered Labour MP Jo Cox whining about how terrible this all was and how Trump was feeding hatred and similar such lefty mouth flapping. The article concluded with a statement that that Ms Fransen was awaiting trial on charges of distributing ‘offensive’ leaflets. Leaflets! Leaflets! That’s all she’s been charged with. It’s not even a real bloody crime, but one of the bollocks ‘hate speech’ invented political crimes that have impinged on some Britons lives but rarely seem to be applied to Muslims strangely enough. If you’d have asked someone, maybe the mythical ‘man on the Clapham omnibus’ in the immediate post war period whether handing out a leaflet was a crime, they probably would have laughed at you, but that is all that Ms Fransen is being done for. This is the ludicrousness of Britain today, we have a government that tolerates 30+ thousand dangerous or potentially dangerous Muslim radicals wandering round, yet the government doesn’t tolerate people like Ms Fransen, and a number of others, who are merely pointing out that having 30+ thousand religious radicals wandering round isn’t really a good idea.
I reckon that the government is miffed by this story, not just because a group that the police have harassed and which has been attacked by leftist thugs has got some publicity from this, but because it shows the public that all is not so rosy in the garden of multiculturalism. Not all cultures are equal, some such as the followers of Islam, chop off people’s heads to appease their blood soaked deity, something which more civilised cultures do not. The fact that not all cultures are equally civilised is not something that the promoters of multiculturalism, of which there are a lot in Britain’s ‘adminisphere’, are that keen on having pointed out. The government may in addition be worried that more people may start asking questions about Islam and wanting honest answers to their questions because of the publicity surrounding Trump’s tweets of the BF videos. The government may soon find itself in a position where the public start to realise that the answers the government has been given about Islam have so far been significantly dishonest.
Whether President Trump knew about the nature of Britain First before he tweeted the videos is neither here nor there, his intention was to highlight the extreme danger that the civilised world faces from Islam. The President may not have intended to spark a debate in Britain about the problems that are being caused by some adherents of Islam, but that is what he has done and I think that he should be praised for is helping the public to start that debate. If there is any sure fire indication that Mr Trump may have done the right thing by highlighting Islamic savagery it is the reaction of the Left and various Islamic groups and their hangers on. They are the ones screaming for information to be censored and some voices to not be heard and if Mr Trump is taking the flak from these types then it shows that he must be right over the target.
Trump has put his foot in his mouth over this but he’ll probably claim it is fake news folks!
Actually Mr Trump seems to be doubling down. He has quite rightly pointed out that the issue at hand isn’t the source of the tweets or the tweets themselves but the ongoing and worsening problems of Islamic terror and crime in the UK.
