We’ve become wearily used to the Left loudly trumpeting how much in favour of women’s rights and feminism that they are. This statement did once have a large grain of truth within it. Pioneers of women’s emancipation in various fields did come from those who were the radicals of their day, radicals who today we may catagorise as being on the political Left.
However we now have a topsy turvy world and and an equally topsy turvy Left that condemns women if they practise or believe in what they see as the ‘wrong’ type of feminism. For me, one way to view feminism is giving women choices and also respecting those choices, as all women, as indeed all men are different and unique individuals. But this is not the way that the modern Left views things. If a woman is anti-abortion, politically conservative or, as in the instance of the story below, opposed to the import of men from violent rape cultures, then she is immediately ‘un-personed’ by the Left.
A good example of the left aggressively turning on women with which they disagree comes from this past weekend in Berlin, Germany. Over a thousand women turned out in Germany’s capital to protest about the ongoing and worsening problems of women being sexually attacked and victimised by the mostly Muslim migrants that Chancellor Angela Merkel imported (h/t ROP). Now women fighting for women’s safety should be a no brainer for the Left, it’s a campaign that should be supported. This is certainly how the old traditional left based as it was on the foundation of the working classes. But that is not what is happening with the modern Left and it is certainly not how Antifa behaved when faced with a march by women for women and which was protesting about some serious threats to women.
This was a distinctly anti Islam march as well it should be as it is from Islam and its followers that the greatest threat to German woman’s safety comes from at the current time. Chancellor Merkel’s madness in importing hundreds of thousands of men from cultures that see women as little more than chattels was bound to end badly. The problem is it is ending badly for ordinary German women who find their rights to safety and even their ability to traverse German cities curtailed because of the sexual violence of Merkel’s Muslims.
As I said earlier supporting women’s right to live without sexual violence was once a strong feature of the Left, but not today. The Berlin women who were campaigning for something to be done about migrant sexual crime found that they were opposed by Antifa. In other words we now have the situation where those from the political current that previously defended women’s rights, are now supporting wholeheartedly and often with violence, those who wish to oppress women and treat women as property. I doubt that anyone could find a better example of how Leftism has disappeared into an amoral cesspit than supporting Muslim rapists over German women.
The thugs of Antfa blocked the way of the march, which was organised by members of the #12dB group, and prevented the women’s marchers from reaching their intended destination which was the German Chancellery. It is also alleged in one of the articles linked to below that Antifa put aside their often violent antipathy for police and supported the police who were also geared up to shut down this march. In this instance women were robbed of their right to take their concerns, very real and pressing concerns, to the seat of their democratically elected government, partially by politicised police officers, but even more disgustingly by members of a Left that once stood up for women and for women’s emancipation.
What we have seen in Berlin is the Left selling women out. They’ve been sold out by a Left that has no more roots in the wider society than a fallen tree in a forest has. This left, the left that effectively told women in Berlin to ‘go back to your homes and put up with being raped’, is built on nothing but the fantasies of academics, a castle built on the shifting sands of fashion and as such has no moral qualms about taking the side of violent, misogynist Islam over the women who are increasingly becoming the victims of this appalling and fascistic quasi-religious ideology.

The – (“no moral”) – authorities at Oxford University appear to slot right into this category, denouncing those who warned about Tariq Ramadan as being “anti-muslim”, and not only failing to protect their students, but even outrageously claiming that NOT restricting Ramadan was in order to “protect their muslim students”.
They plainly learnt nothing from the debacles within the Catholic Church, BBC/Jimmy Savile etc, and were more concerned to maintain the Lefty thrill of having a Muslim Brotherhood associated professor and Qatari cash, than to carry out their actual job of providing truthful, impartial education in a safe environment.
