Islam is the ideology without much in the way of subtlety. It can quite easily and accurately described in the manner of the title of this piece. It is the religion of death and jihad, with the occasional bit of mass rape thrown in and is definitely NOT a ‘religion of peace’.

The world has seen death by Muslim over the issue of cartoons, of criticising Islam’s paedophile ‘prophet’, over the issue of treating women as human beings and now these savages are threatening death to the daughter of Sukharno the founding president of Indonesia over the issue of a poem. The poem, of which a few lines are quoted below, are being claimed by Islamic groups in Indonesia as insulting to Islam and therefore has been made the subject of a ‘call for jihad’.

The quoted lines of the poem which the Islamic headcases are objecting to read as follows:

“I don’t know Islamic Sharia, what I know is that the essence of Mother Indonesia’s konde (a traditional hairstyle) is very beautiful, more so than the veil on your face.

… I don’t know Islamic Sharia, what I know is that Mother Indonesia’s song is so pleasing, more so than your call to prayer.”

Most normal religions, religions that are genuinely and measurably peaceful, may have members who may go ‘tut tut’ at a similar criticism of their faith but would be highly unlikely to call for the death of the poem’s creator. But Islam isn’t a normal modern peaceful religion. Islam is a death cult and as it is unlikely to change of its own accord any time soon it should be seen as incompatible with any society that wishes to see itself as advanced.

Threatening to murder poets, and this call for jihad is indeed a threat to murder, is shocking to those of us who believe in issues of free speech and who live in civilised countries, but I’m afraid completely normal for Islam. Islam is a fascistic ideology that countenances no challenge to its theology or the sort of stunted cultures that Islam creates wherever it establishes itself and this case illustrates very well why a large number of the paths within Islam Islam have no place in civilised countries or countries that aspire to be considered as civilised.
