The news that nearly two-thirds of the ‘child refugees’ that the left wing, pro-migration and pro-Islam Citizens UK group campaigned hard to be allowed into the United Kingdom have turned out to be adults, is hopefully going to be highly embarrassing for Citizens UK. Also it is to be hoped that the multitude of naïve do-gooding Vicars, Rabbis, Priests and ‘community activists’ who made up Citizens UK’s pro-‘refugee’ outrage bus, and which used moral blackmail, such as pictures of genuine refugee kids in need, in order to force the Home Office’s hand, will also suffer acute embarrassment for what they’ve done. In addition, these invaders from Calais and elsewhere were never, ever the modern day equivalent of the pre-WWII Kindertransport and it was thoroughly disingenuous for those like Lord Alf Dubs to give credence to this false claim by Citizens UK and its supporters.
It was patently obvious to many of us who are critics of asylum policy and of Citizens UK itself, that these fake ‘children’ from Calais were unlikely to make anything like the positive contribution to Britain and the world that the Kindertransport children eventually made. This because we are dealing with different people and different cultures which are the complete opposite of the mostly Jewish children rescued by the Kindertransport. No one in their right mind would have said that bearded Muslim thugs, from hate-filled and retarded cultures, which the ‘Calais children’ especially have now been proven to be, would become tomorrows, physicists, artists, business people, doctors, journalists or designers something that the Kindertransport children actually did become.
This report, which has come via an article by Liam Deacon of Breitbart London, shows the extent that the Home Office and the Home Secretary at the time, one Theresa May, was hoodwinked and frankly conned by Citizens UK and others, into taking in the very last people that Britain should be letting in, which is Muslim males of military age.
Breitbart said:
Around two-thirds of “child refugees” who were questioned about their age in the UK were revealed to be adults, a government report has found.
In one year, 65 per cent of asylum seekers assessed were judged to be over the age of 18.
The report, by immigration watchdog boss David Bolt, revealed the Home Office received 2,952 asylum applications from unaccompanied children, of which 705 had their age disputed.
Of that, 618 cases were resolved, and 402 of them were found to be adults.
You would expect, human nature being what it is, that in any cohort of people claiming to be ‘refugees’ in the past that there would be a small proportion of them who were on the cusp of being considered as minors, or were falsely claiming to be so, but for nearly two thirds to be adults claiming to be children is astonishing. For such a large proportion of those who entered claiming to be minors to be shown to be liars really does reveal just how comprehensively hoodwinked the Home Office was by Citizens UK and other similar pro-‘refugee’ groups.
I find it impossible to believe that the groups that were involved in agitating for the entry of these ‘child refugees’ did not know the truth about the likely ages of these ‘children’ when they were shroud-waving to the Home Office. After all there were many groups, not just Citizens UK, which were supplying aid and support to these ‘refugees’ in France and elsewhere in Europe, were working closely with them and cannot but have perceived the reality of these men’s ages. If they were not being vigilant as regards the ages of their ‘refugee’ pets, which could well be the case, then they were unsuitable to work in such an environment due to naivety and definitely unsuitable to be in receipt of large amounts of public money or have access to ministers.
Citizens UK whilst not the only group agitating for the entry into Britain of these potentially dangerous ‘child migrants’ need to shoulder a lot of the blame for helping to bully the Home Office into taking a less than robust attitude towards these ‘child migrants’. It was Citizens UK we must remember that helped to popularise in the UK the slogan ‘refugees welcome’ and it is Citizens UK that mobilised its forces to get the Dubs Amendment pushed through Parliament and subsequently allow in all too many of the fake ‘children’ of Calais.
It appears that it is possible that poor training along with the likely threat of career damage or social ostracism from being denounced as ‘heartless’ or ‘lacking in sympathy for refugee children’ by either the Home Office, or the various ‘refugees welcome’ groups, also played a role in allowing these ‘children’ in. These factors could have robbed Home Office staff of the confidence to do their jobs properly and say no to the entry of these fake ‘children’. All too often it seems Home Office staff may have given the benefit of the doubt to a ‘child refugee’ who should, in reality, have been put on the first boat out of the UK.
Breitbart added:
Mr. Bolt’s report also said officials were shying away from assessing those claiming to be under-age.
Home Office staff “did not feel confident about making initial age assessments of applicants claiming to be children, particularly judging whether the claimant was ‘significantly over 18’ and should be entered into the adult process”.
The document added: “They received no training to help them make such judgements.
I must admit that reading this account of the scale of the fake ‘children’ fraud and how Home Office ministers and senior manager’s handled it, gives me some sympathy for the more junior employees who were forced to make these asylum age decisions. They were put in the unenviable position of being poorly supported or trained by their line management and who also saw their superiors and their ministers being bullied, emotionally blackmailed and pressured by groups like Citizens UK into submission. Is it any wonder that many of them just ticked the box marked ‘yes a child, allow into the UK’ rather than expose themselves to more problems?
By kicking up a fuss about the high number of fake ‘children’ they would have had to contend with disinterested and incompetent management, cowardly ministers or even the screaming virtue-signalling dishonest, hyperbole about ‘the poor little children’ vomited out by groups such as Citizens UK. The government cowardly caving in to the likes of Citizens UK in my view contributed greatly to the sort of environment where civil servants basically felt they had to ‘wave through’ asylum applicants who should have been booted out of the UK at the earliest opportunity.
It gives some inkling into how pressured civil servants were to allow in these fake children that they even went to the extent of allegedly ignoring in some cases, cautions and warnings about child safety from local councils. The Breitbart article discloses that some local council’s expressed the fear that if these ‘children’ were not really children then they could pose a risk to other children in any foster care or institutional care setting where these fake ‘children’ might be placed. I must say that the decision making civil servants must have been under a considerable amount of pressure from poor managers and ‘refugees welcome’ groups like Citizens UK for them to disregards such stark and probably well founded warnings about child safety.
Citizens UK, by playing such a major part in recent years in highlighting what they see as ‘child refugees’ and being so influential in government circles that they can bend the immigration acts to their will, should not in my view escape unscathed from this fake children débâcle. This group quite frankly conned ministers and senior Home Office officials into accepting as ‘refugees’ those who should never, ever have been considered as such.
For their part in the whole ‘fake children’ scandal, Citizens UK should never be allowed again to influence any area of government policy whether that be migration policy, social cohesion policy or welfare policy or anything else. Citizens UK certainly need to be exposed for what they are which is a left wing, open borders, pro-Islam organisation of the sort that can only bring nothing but harm to ordinary British subjects. They do not represent, as they claim, the ‘common good’, they represent the complete opposite of that. Furthermore, those who have assisted Citizens UK in their endeavours in migration and other areas, such as the churchmen and women, the Rabbis, the NHS manager that shovelled money into Citizens UK’s pockets and the politicians who caved in when confronted with Citizens UK’s campaigns, need to acknowledge their mistakes.
Those individuals who have used their organisations, whether public or private sector, spiritual or temporal, to promote the aims and campaigns of Citizens UK, should consider their positions in their respective organisations. After all, it is difficult for British subjects to have much confidence in organisations that are led or managed by those who are willing to cooperate with groups like Citizens UK, an organisation that played such a very great role in the whole ‘fake children’ scandal.
