From Elsewhere: On Gibbon and the modern falsities about Islam

One of the problems that we have today is that much of the information that we non Muslims are fed about Islam from our politicians and our media is complete bunk. The constantly repeated lie that Islam is a religion of peace is a universe away from what Islam really is, which is a violent death cult that permits the murder, despoilment and enslavement of non-Muslims. Although there are individual Muslims who are indeed peaceful, the same cannot be said for Islam itself.

As Lloyd Billingsley points out in a great piece over at Front Page Magazine, Western writers were not always so willing to tell lies to protect Islam. One writer in particular, Edward Gibbon, in his magisterial book ‘The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire’, pulled no punches when it came to either the cult of Islam itself or the debased morals of Islam’s founder Mohammed.

Mr Billingsley’s article selects those parts of Gibbon’s work that deals with Mohammed, the foundation of Islam and the Islamic conquest of what was once Christian North Africa. Mr Billingsley also highlights the difference between the account of Islam given by Gibbon, a man with a historians sensibilities and desire for the truth, and the dishonest gruel we are fed about Islam by those who rule over us and who make up our media and academic castes.

I would strongly urge people to read not only Mr Billingsley’s powerful article, which is linked below. I would also advise people to examine his source material and the other more realistic portrayals of Islam that were researched and published before the West was cursed by both Islam and political correctness.
