Now That’s Why Pakistan Is A S**thole – Volume 89 – Pakistan’s dangerous election

There are three main nations that have been created or recreated in the post war world to be a homeland for the adherents of particular religious paths. These nations are India, Israel and Pakistan. Of these three, India and Israel have become technological or industrial colossi and have built themselves up by their own hard work and the hard work of their people. These nations to a certain extent reflect the religious ideology that underpins their existence which are respectively in the case of India and Israel, Hinduism and Judaism.

But, when we look at the third member of this triumvirate of religious homelands which is Pakistan we start to see how the foundational or dominant religious ideology of Islam has turned the nation into a violent, chaos ridden, corrupt shithole of the very worst type. Whilst Hinduism and Judaism created nations with a respect for education and a culture of hard work, Islam has created in Pakistan a backward, educationally retarded nation where people slave not to improve but merely to exist.

There’s nowhere more obvious to show Pakistan’s problems than the issue of the current election process in Pakistan and Tarek Fatah a Canadian Islamic reformer of Pakistani heritage has written a brilliant article about Pakistan’s current travails.

Writing in the Toronto Sun Mr Fatah said of a video of an attack on an election gathering in Pakistan:

The video is shocking. Everything appears normal at an election rally in the town of Mastung in Pakistan’s troubled region of Balochistan, but one second later an explosion rips through the crowd, killing 149 people and injuring scores.

The nuclear state of Pakistan is going through a farcical election in which hundreds have died at the hands of government-backed jihadi death squads, tens of thousands have disappeared, feared kidnapped and killed by security agencies. At the same time, Pakistan’s newspapers and TV networks face a crackdown by a military that now has the country’s judiciary providing legitimacy to them, allowing them to run the country as their private fiefdom without having to stage a coup d’état.

And if the reign of terror and intimidation was meant to keep the elected yet ousted popular Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif away in the UK with his ailing wife, he chose to face the military head-on.

With his daughter Maryam Nawaz by his side, Sharif arrived in Lahore, Pakistan from London. However, before he could say a word to the crowds that came to greet him, Sharif and his daughter were arrested inside the aircraft and whisked away to Adiala Jail in Islamabad where he has been placed in squalid conditions and is being treated as an ordinary criminal.

Mr Fatah goes into great detail about the current problems surrounding the Pakistani election and I would advise readers to go to the source to read this frankly magnificent article, which as expected, has upset Pakistani loyalists. Mr Fatah also casts a critical eye on one of the main frontrunners for the job of Pakistani Prime Minister, the former cricketer, playboy and now Islamism friendly politician who Mr Fatah claims is the favoured candidate of what he called the ‘judiciary-military-mullah alliance’.

Mr Fatah said that things do not look that good for honesty in the election as the military and the judiciary now have full control of the election process with full sealed ballot boxes being in the custody of the military. This to my mind bodes ill for any prospect of a free and fair election because unlike in more civilised countries the military is a power player in Pakistani politics.

Mr Fatah also spoke pessimistically about the future prospects for Pakistan as a unitary nation and outlined ongoing and worsening civil and ethnic conflicts that threaten to engulf Pakistan and break it apart. As Pakistan is a nuclear armed nation such a breakdown should concern us all. After all nobody really wants nutcases, especially Islamic nutcases to have control over nuclear weapons. Hell, I wouldn’t trust the Pakistanis to be responsible about handling a tin of Radium paint let alone weapons of mass destruction.

I fear, as does Mr Fatah that the increasing problems in Pakistan will end up having a negative effect on both the immediate region and the world as a whole. The very last thing that this suffering world needs is to have nuclear weapons or nuclear materials fall into the hands of Islamic terrorists or other non state actors but we cannot dismiss such a prospect if or when Pakistan implodes.
