Despite what the mainstream media and the Canadian Liberal Party government may wish, information has leaked out about the Faisal Hussain the murderer who killed a woman and a child in a gun attack on the 22nd July. This leaked information is showing that what many people suspected is probably true and that this was a jihadi attack.
Whilst I conclude there may have been a mental health aspect to this case it’s looking more and more likely that the ultimate motivation for this attack was jihad. It could be that we have a situation where a person suffering from mental health problems was groomed by jihadis but the idea that this crime was motivated primarily for reasons of mental health is looking less and less sound.
The Toronto Sun for example has published a great op-ed piece by Tarek Fatah in which he examines the behaviour of both the authorities and the media in the aftermath of the case. What Mr Fatah says is that there seems to been a concerted effort on the part of the Canadian government and the Canadian media to distance the murderer from any Islamic motivation. This is happening even though there is apparently enough evidence out there to say that the murders committed in the Danforth shooting were the result of jihad.
I’d strongly advise people to read Mr Fatah’s piece at the Toronto Sun to get a different and maybe more accurate picture of Faisal Hussain than could be obtained from either the Canadian government or the Canadian mainstream media.
