When one examines the theology of Islam and more importantly the sort of cultures and mindsets Islam creates, along with the actions that Islam encourages in its followers, it’s difficult not to come to the conclusion that Islam is different from other faiths. Islam and the cultures it creates or influences are notably intolerant, aggressive and violent. When one realises that Islam’s weekly death toll is half that of Britain’s annual death toll then we can see just how violent this ideology is and the sort of people which this ideology can create.
When, for example, one looks at snapshots of Islam’s death toll and compare it to British levels of unlawful killing, then we can see that for a so-called ‘Religion of Peace’, Islam has a massive and disproportionate death rate attached to it. When I started looking at death tolls caused by Muslims killing in the name of religion I had wanted to compare those murdered by Christians and Jews who killed others because of a religious motive. When I looked online I found very little to show that what I call the true Abrahamic faiths, Christianity and Judaism, were involved in such killings to any appreciable degree. Of course there will be Christian and Jewish groups where violence against those that they consider ‘other’ may be acceptable, but these entities are outliers and definitely not mainstream followers of these faiths. With Islam it is not only the nutcases who go out to commit acts of murder in the name of their religion, there is also as Pew Research found out and Ben Shapiro reported in his video ‘The Myth of the Tiny Radical Muslim Minority’, a greater number of Muslims who support the aims of the religious murderers.
The website Religion of Peace (ROP) for example has consistently and reasonably accurately monitored the number of Islam-related killings worldwide and compared it with Muslims being violently victimised by non Muslims. The number of Muslims killed either by non-Muslims or by so called ‘Islamophobes’ is miniscule in comparison with the number of people, both Muslim and non-Muslims murdered by the followers of Islam. Those places where there is murder of Muslims by non Muslims, such as in India and in Myanmar, are related to specific local communal issues and also a response to perceived Islamic aggression. Fear of Islamic extremism and the sort of problems it has brought to other parts of the world and the challenge this poses to the power of the State, is also behind some of the oppressive crackdown on Muslims in China. I concur that the conflicts and communal tension situations in India, Myanmar and China have quite high death tolls but in the case of Myanmar the 7000 death toll of Muslims was achieved over a period of 15 years. Although nasty this death toll averages out at 467 per annum, which is slightly below the annual murder rate of the United Kingdom which was 571 in the year 2016. India’s death toll for anti Muslim communal violence is 600 over a period of five years which works out at 120 Muslim deaths per year, again very much below the UK’s 2016 murder rate and India is a much more populous nation than the UK. I have not at this time managed to locate comparable figures for China.
So let’s now look at Islam shall we?
According to the ROP site, the death toll from Islamic religiously inspired violence for a random one week period which I am taking to be between the 11th and the 17th of August 2018 shows that Islamic violence took the lives of 282 people. It is likely that many of these victims would have been Muslim themselves and were probably killed as they were perceived by more stricter Muslims as being ‘not Muslim enough’.
This figure of 282, which was achieved in just one week, should be compared with the UK 2016 homicide figures (which include murder, manslaughter and infanticide) which is 571. This means that on the space of seven days Muslims managed to kill people at a rate that was roughly half of the figures of all unlawful killings in the United Kingdom per year. If you multiply the weekly Islamic death toll by 52m then you come up with an annual extrapolated murder rate for killings in the name of Islam to over 14,000. Even if we were conservative in our estimations and said that not every violent Islamic savage will murder every week and choose a weekly murder rate was a relatively paltry 50 souls per week killed by Islam that would still give a death toll of 2,600 per year or 4.5 times the annual UK murder rate as of 2016.
When we compare the number of killings and the timescales in which these killings have occurred, we can see that although there are some Muslims who are the victims of communal violence and who are targeted primarily because they are Muslim, but these figures are dwarfed by the number killed by the followers of Islam.
The figures that I have unearthed are pretty sobering. Like any other sensible and reasonable person I do not wish anyone to unjustly die a violent death, not even Muslims. But, no matter how hard I try I cannot escape from the fact that Islam has a death count disproportional to that of other faiths. Although I know from both experience and from reading, that there are many Muslims who cherry pick the Koran and the Hadith and disregard the worst of the hatred in these texts, that does not blind me to the knowledge that Islam is different and it is especially different when it comes to religious violence.
I fail to see how anybody can honestly and without irony call a faith that murders more people in a week than are murdered in the United Kingdom, a religion of peace. We in the West need to have an open debate on Islam as to fail to honestly discuss a faith whose followers produce so many murderers may end up rebounding on us and destroying our societies. We need to be honest about Islam and its inherent violence but we need to be honest about the occasions when Muslims are unfairly targeted by non Muslims with violence and not just shout out ‘they are Muslim they are lying’. Nobody should be killed merely because they are Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Hindu or whatever. Although it’s right to recognise that victims are on both sides of this conflict we should prioritise our safety and be honest about how and why Islam racks up such a huge death toll when compared to other groups. If Islam really is the rabid mad dog of world religions then we are morally and ethically justified in placing necessary controls on the actions, movements and rights of such a theological animal and by extension the rights of the followers of this ideology to practise and promote their belief system. We didn’t allow Oswald Mosley and his ilk to strut their stuff around Britain when their Nazi friends were bombing London and I see no reason why Britain should not put similar restrictions on Islam because of the problems and the violence that Islam has brought to the United Kingdom.
Musician Rick Heizman has been reporting on Islamic shenanigans in and re Myanmar for years. His YouTube channel, Burma Friend, was shut down a few months ago; more recently his Facebook page has disappeared, but his articles on Scribd are still available: https://www.scribd.com/search?content_type=tops&page=1&query=rick%20heizman What we have come to expect from Islamists and Islam-pamperers elsewhere (including deception and fallacies), are on display.
