The result of the quashing of the death penalty imposed on Pakistani Christian woman Asia Bibi has predictably resulted in violence, aggression and protest from Muslims who wanted to see her executed for ‘blasphemy’. The BBC has said that the Pakistani Chief Justice, the country’s most senior judicial figure, has said that Ms Bibi can be released from prison immediately provided that there are no other charges against her. The removal of Ms Bibi from the shadow of the noose for something that former British Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali said ‘should not be a crime’ has been welcomed by civilised people worldwide, but condemned by many Muslims in the shithole that is Pakistan.

According to a report carried by Sky News in the UK, angry violent Muslims have armed themselves with clubs and blocked the main road into Islamabad and have also blocked roads in Karachi and Lahore. There have been angry protests by Muslims inflamed by Islamic bloodlust over Ms Bibi, who has spent nearly a decade behind bars awaiting execution, with thousands of supporters of the Tehreek-e-Labbaik party protesting and calling for Ms Bibi to be publicly executed for ‘blasphemy’.

Such is the anger, and the level of violent threat, from the savage Muslims of Pakistan over the issue of the release of Ms Bibi, that we are seeing Pakistan go into virtual lockdown. The Pakistani government under new Prime Minister Imran Khan has despatched commandos to guard the Supreme Court buildings and has sent troops and police to guard Christian churches. This is to my mind a wise move as the court is at risk from the violent savages and there is now the growing risk of a pogrom aimed against Christians occurring.

When you look at why Ms Bibi was facing the death penalty in the first place you can get some idea of just how much of an Islamic shithole Pakistan has become. Back in 2009, whilst working in the fields with Muslim women, Ms Bibi drank from a water cup that was reserved for Muslims. Because the Muslims had said that Ms Bibi had made the cup ‘unclean’ by using it by dint of her Christian faith, in the row that developed calls were made by the Muslim women for Ms Bibi to convert to Islam and the women made allegations that during the argument Ms Bibi made disparaging remarks about Islam’s founder, Mohammed. It was the accusation of ‘blasphemy’ against Mohammed that eventually propelled Ms Bibi to the condemned cell at a prison near Lahore. Can anybody truly imagine this sort of behaviour happening in a civilised country or one that is not heavily influenced by Islam? No of course not. This bloodlust is 100% Islamic in nature and in cause.

Prime Minister Khan is now starting to realise just what a bad situation he is faced with and is trying, without from what I can see any obvious apparent success, to try to paint the groups who are inciting the protests as being more political than Islamic. Whilst I concur with the PM that there is a political power element here, the primary motivation for thugs to take over the streets and to call for the butchering of an innocent woman are primarily Islamic.

It is Islam that is behind the howls of vehemence coming from the streets of Pakistani cities just as it is Islam that is the root of the ongoing and I would guess soon to worsen position for Pakistani Christians. Islam, as many who are regular readers of this ‘Now That’s Why Pakistan Is A Shithole’ feature will know, is at the root of the vast majority of Pakistan’s social problems. The way women are treated like dirt, minorities are oppressed, thought and speech controlled and the ever present threat of violence for going ‘against Islam’, can all be laid at the feet of Mohammed and his accursed scriptures. It is Islam and only Islam that has turned a country that on independence from Britain ‘could have been a contender’, on the world stage into one of the worlds premier Islamic shitholes. The violent mobs in Pakistani streets howling like animals for the death of a Christian woman are the end result of building your country, as Pakistan has, on the ideology of Islam.

I hope and pray that Ms Bibi and her family find succour from the baying mobs of Islamic savages that have turned their attention on them. I do worry that she and her relatives will not find peace in Pakistan and maybe a move to India or some other nation less murderous towards Christians may be in order. It has been suggested that Ms Bibi come to the UK for shelter and although I would support that action in principle, it should not be forgotten that there are a large number of Islamic nutjobs resident in Britain’s Islamic community, many from Pakistan, who would relish the chance to murder Ms Bibi for Allah. This poor innocent woman if she came to the UK could be at risk from violence from those in the Pakistani diaspora too many of whom have settled into lives of separatism, overt hostility and religious extremism.

There are reformers in Pakistan who wish to see the blasphemy laws removed, partly because they are oppressive per se and also because ‘blasphemy’ accusations are used as a way of settling personal scores (like ‘witch’ accusations used to be used in the England of the 16^th and 17^th centuries) and get people out of the way. Looking at the growing number of violent Islamic savages that have taken to the streets in Pakistan, I must say that I do not rate their chances of success very highly. The Islam that has been turned into the cornerstone of Pakistani society and governance demands death for ‘blasphemers’ and it is going to be very difficult to convince an angry and uneducated population that Pakistani society would be better off with freedom of religion as opposed to religious oppression.

I fear for Pakistan over the next few months. I especially fear for its religious minorities such as Christians, Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists. I can easily foresee how violent Muslims whipped up by equally violent Muslim clerics across Pakistan could foment some of the worst pogroms against the followers of these faiths that we’ve seen in many years. Because of the nature of Pakistani Islam I predict that much innocent blood is about to flow and the world will see the true nature of what politicians in the West dishonestly call ‘the religion of peace’.
