Those of who know Islam, who have learned about it and have learned to despise it, also know that there is one group that too often gets forgotten when we consider who is oppressed by this horrible ideology, and that is ex Muslims. This group contains members who may be lucky and may be able to leave Islam with a minimum of fuss because they are cultural Muslims and from families that are less adherent to Islam, along with other individuals whose path out of Islam is not so easy. Islam commands death to those who leave Islam and although there are many ex Muslims, especially in the West, who are not murdered, things are often not as favourable for those ex Muslims who live in the Islamic world.

One of the reasons I have for not hating on individual Muslims despite as I believe justifiably disliking Islam, is that I know that not all Muslims either adhere to Islamic principles and commandments or are voluntarily part of Islam. There are people who are trapped within Islam and they dare not leave or openly declare their apostacy for fear that they will lose their families and even, as is the case in some Islamic countries, their very lives.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we must support and protect the world’s ex Muslims and inform ourselves of their plight. It’s up to you of course which ex Muslim organisation you choose to support, either with time or funds, but what I would strongly advise you to do is listen to the voices and the stories of ex Muslims. A good place to start if you want to learn about ex Muslims and hear their life stories would be the You Tube channel Ex Muslim TV.
