As I have said before on here, when Pakistan became independent of the British Empire in the late 1940’s, it was not, especially when it was split into East and West Pakistan, seen by some as a country with wondrous prospects. Pakistan started out with problems when the Indian subcontinent was Partitioned, but Pakistan could have overcome these problems, as India has, and become a contender on the world stage. Unfortunately, Pakistan was created on the shaky foundations of Islam and because of that Pakistan has continued to slip down the civilisation index. Islam has created in Pakistan a place where women and children are treated like property, where religious minorities are routinely and often violently oppressed and a place that looks like a living embodiment of the phrase ‘an asylum run by the lunatics’.

It is also a place where culturally retarded Islamic clerics speak utter guff to their equally culturally retarded Muslim followers . It is for example a nation where the Prime Minister of Pakistan is accused by clerics of being part of some nefarious ‘Jewish plot’ because he doesn’t wholeheartedly agree with the idea of lynching a Christian woman accused of blasphemy against Islam. Sadly t his is the sort of accusation which can get taken seriously by some of the more moronical of Pakistan’s citizens (of which there seem to be a worryingly large number).

Brietbart has reported that one particular cleric has accused the Prime Minister Imran Khan, the former cricketer, of being in league with the Jews over the issue of the release of the Christian woman Asia Bibi from death row where she was awaiting execution for blasphemy. The reaction to the release of Ms Bibi by a significant minority of Pakistani Muslims has, as was been as violent and hateful as we can normally expect Islam to be. Roads have been blocked by protesters and there have been loud and aggressive calls from Muslim leaders and their followers for Asia Bibi to be executed.

The head of the Mutahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA), a radical Islamist group in Pakistan, delivered remarks Friday accusing Islamist Prime Minister Imran Khan of being a “Jew representative” seeking praise from the West by releasing Christian mother Asia Bibi.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman told a crowd of supporters that his group had organized a November 25 protest calling for Bibi’s death. The Pakistani Supreme Court ruled that Bibi, who spent nearly a decade on death row for allegedly blaspheming against Muhammad, was innocent and should be freed immediately. Bibi and her family are currently in hiding in an undisclosed location in the country in response to violent riots following the Supreme Court decision calling for her death.

Imran Khan became prime minister this year largely due to the support of Islamist groups, which he most recently appeased with the TLP deal to prevent Bibi from fleeing the country. The extreme wing of the radical Islamist constituency in Pakistan, however, has viewed Khan with distrust for years due to his first marriage to Jemima Goldsmith, a British woman of Jewish heritage who converted to Islam for the marriage.

I wondered how long it would take for these Pakistani savages to start to scream ‘the Jews did it, the Jews did it’ over the issue of Asia Bibi? It turns out that sadly I did not have that long to wait. Pakistan is a very backward country and one where conspiracy theories nurtured by Islamic religious leaders and politicians about the West and about ‘the Jews’ do not only abound, but are also believed by too many people.

Islam has created in Pakistan a nation mired in superstition, lies, hatred, misogyny and oppression. It is a nation where half educated clerics hold sway over a great many even lesser educated followers and one where even the mildest of criticisms of Islam can result in death either at the hands of the state or at the hands of Muslim mobs. Pakistan truly is the turd that will not flush and should be for many in civilised lands a cautionary tale of what happens when Islam forms a part of a nation’s government. Pakistan is an insane country filled with equally insane people and it should be treated like the pariah nation that it helped by Islam, has made itself into.
