As it is the Friday before Christmas it’s probably appropriate to put up a Christmas movie as this weeks offering for the Friday Night Movie slot. ‘Scrooge’ made in Britain in 1935 was one of the first ‘Talkie’ versions of this tale brought to the cinema, there are other earlier versions of this Charles Dickens story that were filmed but these were silent not versions with sound.

I hope that you enjoy this classic Christmas tale of how the miser Ebeneezer Scrooge was redeemed and brought to goodness by being shown alternative versions of his future and how Scrooge could avoid the disasters that would befall him and others if he continued on his present self-centred path.
