A congregation of Christians in North Eastern Nigeria had an incredibly lucky escape from a pair of murderous Muslim terrorists recently. Two female suicide bombers were on their way to attack a group of Roman Catholic Nigerians who were preparing to attend Mass. However, before these murderous savages could reach their target at least one of their suicide bombs exploded prematurely.
One of the murderous savages was killed outright in an incident which also saw an attack on the town of Shuwa in the state of Adamawa by rocket propelled grenade. Both attacks are believed to have been carried out by the Boko Haram Islamic terror group.
A Nigerian News source called Punch Nigeria, (h/t ROP), said that the police are still searching for any jihadi insurgents that may still be in the area. On the subject of the misfiring suicide bomb Punch Nigeria said:
Mohammed Sanusi, the District Head of Duhu, told PUNCH that one of the two female suicide bombers planning an attack on churchgoers failed in her tracks as the bomb went up with her before she could reach her target.
He said, “There’s a bomb blast in Shuwa. Two female suicide bombers carried out the attacks. A little girl affected by the blast has been taken to Shuwa Missionary Health Center. The female bombers had planned to launch the attacks on churchgoers but the bomb detonated prematurely killing the female bombers.”
He added that there’s a probability of an unexploded bomb lurking around.
“There’s a probability of another unexploded bomb in the area which the security forces are trying to unearth,” he said.
The people of Shuwa have in a very short time, been subjected to an RPG attack, a suicide bomb attempts and are left with the possibility of further attacks from Islamic terrorists. This is just one incident of an ongoing Islamic terrorist insurgency that is a human tragedy, that we in the West know or care far too little about. Muslim jihadis are killing hundreds ever year in Nigeria in attacks on Nigerian security forces and attacks on Nigerian civilians, mostly it seems Nigerian Christian civilians. This incident is one incident among many where members of Nigeria’s Christian community are targeted for death by the members of the Boko Haram Islamic death cult.
In 2017 for example over 900 people were killed by Boko Haram, not all of them Christian but this number would include a significant number of Christians from what I can see from various reports. Boko Haram group is proving very difficult for the security services of Nigeria, one of the countries afflicted the most by Boko Haram, to destroy. Boko Haram, who are desirous of an Islamic caliphate in their part of Africa, are in my opinion not a group that can be brought to any negotiating table, I don’t think they would or could be trusted if they ever did. They are too uncompromisingly Islamic and this shows in both their motivations for attacks and in the extreme and gratuitous violence that they practise.
Boko Haram need to be completely destroyed militarily, I don’t think that there is another way of really dealing with them. But the question for me is which of the African military forces,if any, have both the political will and technical ability to destroy Boko Haram before Boko Haram destroys West Africa? Unless the nations of Africa turn upon Boko Haram and groups like them and completely wipe them out, then a very Islamic form of destruction will fall upon nations that have suffered enough already from other serious problems.
