Pakistan is not so much a nation with a culture and government, it is more akin to a skidmark on the underpants of humanity. Life there is pretty hellish if you are a woman, a child, a Christian, a Sikh or Hindu or a member of a heterodox Islamic group. It is a corrupt hell hole, beset by religious extremists and violent thugs and is a place that has since independence, been dragged into hell by the ideology that dominates and governs Pakistan, the ideology of Islam.
The latest example of Islamic savagery to come from a place that has been made savage by Islam concerns two doctors, believed to be members of the peaceful Ahmadi Islamic sect, who were found dead, presumably murdered, in the Punjab region of Pakistan. According to a report in the Pakistan Express Tribune (h/t ROP) the two doctors who had been abducted, were found dead near a dam.
The Pakistan Express Tribune said:
The bodies of two doctors, who were reportedly abducted on March 13 while they were en route to Islamabad from Attock, were found on Monday in the Dhok Soba area of Punjab.
Police said the bodies of Dr Aziz and Dr Iftikhar were found early morning from a near a dam.
According to details, Dr Iftikhar was an American doctor of Pakistani origin. He was recently in the country to finalise matters related to construction on a land in Attock.
So the Doctors were involved in a business deal. Pakistan is a pretty dangerous and insecure place to do business.
Dr Aziz, who was also Dr Iftikhar’s friend, was the caretaker of the land.
“Both the doctors were killed after their kidnapping. The case seems to be something else and we are investigating it,” said police.
“We will take help from their mobile data for which we are also contacting the concerned authorities.”
It was being alleged that the doctors belong to the Ahmadi community, however, the police did not confirm it.
This could be a general criminal matter as in these deaths could be the result of acquisitive crime, but if the doctors were members of the Ahmadi community then there may well be other more religious aspects to these deaths as well. Ahmadis are treated like dirt by both Pakistani Muslims in general and in the Pakistani legal system. It says a lot about Pakistan and also a lot about mainstream Islam that the one genuinely peaceful branch of Islam, the Ahmadis, are treated so badly in Pakistani society. They are not allowed to call themselves Muslims nor are they allowed to call their places of worship mosques. The strictures that Ahmadis are put under in Pakistan are of a sort that if they were put into place in non Muslim countries against Sunni or Shia Islam for example, would have the Left and activists screaming about ‘racism’ and ‘intolerance’.
Pakistan is a nation that is characterised by its often murderous intolerance to those who are different, who believe in and follow different deities or who wish to see Pakistan modernise. Pakistan is a shithole and it has been made that way not by poverty or lack of resources, but by the fact that this nation chose at its inception to make Islam its guiding national ideology.
