I’m quite aware that there have been previous waves of refugees, from the 17th century right through to roughly the mid 20th century, who have brought much good to the people and the nation of Britain. Those who have sought refuge here have sometimes created great businesses and brought artistic and cultural treasuries of talent with them that influenced for the good life on the British Isles. Yes like all groups, these previous generations of refugees produced the odd wrong ‘un, but on the whole, the cultures that these migrants came from along with, at some points in time, considerably onerous vetting of potential refugees, kept most of the bad people out. It was rightly seen, both by governments and those who had sought refuge, that behaving like a complete arsehole to those had given you shelter, would not end well, not just for the individual, but for the whole community. It’s why the Huguenots, Jews, the pre and post war Poles who were fleeing both Nazism and Communism and many others, have put their heads down, worked hard, mostly obeyed the laws and have in some cases, paid their own miscreants to leave the UK in order to stop them queering the pitch for everyone else.
Britain has benefited from what many have brought to this nation including from those who had no other sanctuary than Britain. But that was then, a period that ended at most over three quarters of a century ago Now, many of today’s ‘refugees’ seem to bring nothing but ill for Britons. It is quite plain to see now, not just from Britain, but from across the world, that many of those who have claimed refugee status and have entered Western nations are not like the refugees of old. They are often not contributing in any positive way to our societies, neither through paid work nor from social service. Their cultures often bring us little that we really need and too often bring cultural motivations that are at odds with the cultures that have been created in the West. They have been improperly vetted for cultural compatibility or for potential criminality. They are here not because a balanced decision has been made to admit them, decisions that should be heavily influenced by the question of will this migrant benefit us or whether we, as in the case of the pre and post War Poles, have a moral duty to let them stay. These often criminal ‘refugees’ are here because the twisted morality of scattergun altruism seems to have taken hold of governments, like a particularly virulent form of Syphilis can take hold of a population.
The result of such scattergun altruism has been the entry of people like Alino Basanga an Angolan ‘refugee’ who has been convicted of sexually assaulting a vulnerable woman. When I was sent this link, before I clicked on it I wondered whether this could be a ‘refugee’ related case, bearing in mind all the other ‘refugee related’ sex cases that have occurred recently. I was sadden, but completely unsurprised to find that this was indeed another case of yet another ‘refugee’ sex case.
Here’s the report on the conviction of Basanga from the Hereford Times. As is usual policy the original quoted text is in italics whereas my comments are in plain text.
The Hereford Times said:
A DELIVERY driver sexually assaulted a woman after dropping off an order at her flat.
Alino Basanga was working for DHL when he took the medical items to the Herefordshire home.
The dad of four was found not guilty of rape but convicted of sexual assault by a jury.
Hereford Crown Court was told the woman had a mental disorder and was vulnerable.
His Honour Daniel Pearce-Higgins told Basanga he had been fortunate not to face a charge of attempted rape when he jailed him for three-and-a-half years. The judge said at last Friday’s hearing that while the victim may have been friendly when she answered the door, she certainly showed “no interest in sexual relations”.
“You became aware that she was disadvantaged by her mental disorder and was vulnerable and easily led,” he told Basanga.
“You took advantage of her and led her to the bedroom after you saw an opportunity for your own sexual satisfaction.
“The place in which she should have felt secure was invaded. You used and abused your status.
“There was an abuse of trust for a vulnerable person.”
The sexual assault happened in April of 2017 and the court was told that the victim did not immediately tell anyone what had happened out of embarrassment.
This is not the only dodginess that Basanga appears to have been involved in. The court heard that Basanga had also pleaded guilty to possessing extreme zoophilic pornography. This guy sounds like a complete scumbag. He’s been convicted of sexual assault and the investigation into him appears to have turned up zoophilic porn. What’s worse is that his assault related to a woman with what seems some considerable vulnerabilities.
I can’t help but wonder if this is what he has been caught doing, how many other bad things has this man done? 45 year old Basanga fled to Britain from Angola in 2003, a country that is now a stable constitutional republic, without civil war and which is one of the fastest growing economies in Africa due to its massive resource reserves. Why is this man here and living in Coventry at the time of this offence? Angola is at peace now and has been for over a decade, sure there are serious inequalities in Angola, but that should be no reason to have allowed this man into the UK or to let him stay here. I was disturbed to see that the report did not recommend deportation of this man after the end of his sentence. He may have become a naturalised Briton but by his behaviour he has shown how lowly he views the law and the rights of others, he should have his UK citizenship, if he has one, stripped from him and he should be deported. Putting him on the sex offenders register, which the Judge in this case did, is plainly not enough.
This bastard is not a ‘refugee’. To call him that tarnishes the good name of all those who came here for shelter and who contributed to this nation. He’s little more than a third world sex case and we already have too many of those thanks to those who cannot discriminate between a genuine refugee who is likely to contribute and a wastrel sex offending burden.
