Many British readers may not be familiar with a woman by the name of Ilhan Omar. She is a Somali heritage Muslim woman who has been elected, in large part by Muslims it seems, to serve in the Lower House of the US legislature the House of Representatives. Ilhan Omar is also a very nasty piece of work. There are many unanswered questions about her back story. This story includes allegations of a consanguineous marriage, and about her associates, which encompass groups such as the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), which although not a Muslim Brotherhood front group as some say, does have ties with the Muslim Brotherhood.

However, what Ilhan Omar has become most known in recent times for is Jew hatred. I suppose Omar’s Jew hatred should not come as a surprise, she has after all had an Islamic upbringing and these often include heavy doses of theologically derived Jew hatred.

I’ve covered the issue of Ilhan Omar’s Jew hatred in a previous article along with criticism of a UK group, Tell Mama, for publicly praising her election, even though information about Omar’s questionable beliefs and utterances was a matter for public record. It ill befits an organisation such as Tell Mama which is in receipt of so much public money, to praise Omar about whom much dirt was available online prior to her election. I do wonder how well the praising of Ilhan Omar plays with Tell Mama’s pet Jews whom Tell Mama cultivates? If I was them I’d be a little concerned if an organisation that I had worked with praised someone who claimed that ‘Israel hypnotises the world’. Still, maybe the moral compasses of these particular Jews is calibrated somewhat differently from my own, or maybe they are wonky and possibly in need a drop of oil or something?

Ilhan Omar is a whole heap of dodginess she really is. There is the consistent expressions of Jew hatred, the alleged consanguineous marriage, campaign expenditure questions, her writing of excuses for low level ISIS operatives in the US when they were tried in court and her associations with groups that are linked to a greater or lesser degree, with Islamic extremism. I would not employ her for anything more important than cleaning a toilet, yet the Muslim voters and die hard Democrats of the state of Minnesota deemed her worthy of representing them. When cornered with her views and allegations about her associates and personal life, she, like all too many of these ‘professional Muslims’, screams and whines about Islamophobia. She also deletes offending social media posts and makes empty apologies to those she has offended before going off and doing exactly the same again. Ilhan Omar is a really nasty piece of work and that is not just my opinion of her, this is what an increasing amount of evidence appears to be showing.

However, I’m pleased to be able to relay to you all that there has at last been some sort of public pushback against this appalling creature. Not only has President Donald Trump called her out about her promotion of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, but there appear to be the beginnings of a street protest movement rising up against her.

Now Gateway Pundit is not exactly a site that I would normally treat as reliable, on the grounds that although all media spins, Gateway Pundit seems to spin a bit too much over the line for my liking. However on this occasion Gateway Pundit appear to be correct and I’ve checked their info with other sources. What they and other sources are saying, is that demonstrators are turning up where it is known she is going to speak and voicing their views about the appalling Ilhan Omar. Gateway Pundit said that a group of demonstrators turned up at an event run by CAIR to protest the presence of Ilhan Omar.

Conservative street artist Sabo savaged CAIR and Ilhan Omar with anti-Sharia law posters ahead of Omar’s speaking event.

Trump-supporting, anti-Sharia law Americans showed up to the Hilton Hotel in Woodland Hills Saturday night to protest Ilhan Omar and CAIR.

Hilton Hotel guests took part in the Pro-American and Pro-Israel rally against Ilhan Omar and CAIR in Woodland Hills, California.

Guests unfurled banners that read, “CAIR hates Jews” and “Ilhan hates Israel.”

Gateway Pundit then went on to quote Tweets about and give links to some of the non violent direct action (NVDA) that had taken place to protest Ilhan Omar. I must admit some of this NVDA such as the guerilla banner dropping was pretty well done and gave a very effective impression.

This demonstration has also been featured by more mainstream US media outlets and this video in particular shows the demonstration itself. It’s not massive I grant you but it did look effective and from what I could make out not violent, unlike many Leftie demonstrations. There were however allegations that at one point some Muslims physically attacked the anti Omar protestors although there were no arrests by the Los Angeles Police Department.

ABC7’s coverage was notably spun in favour of Omar, they led on Omar’s speech and relegated the protest to the second part of the piece. However ABC7 did acknowledge that the protest against Omar was sizeable.

The aforementioned Sabo, a conservative street artist, did some fabulous artworks aimed at both CAIR and Rep Ilhan Omar. You can find examples of what he has done via this link. Sabo’s hit on Omar and CAIR is incredibly well done, lifting the entirety of CAIR’s visual house style and even Hilton Hotel door cards because the CAIR event was being held at a Hilton. This was artwork that would really make people think and think hard. It would be good to see someone with SABO’s level of artistic talent and commitment undertake similar agitprop in places, such as Britain, where it might have a really positive effect. It could get more people engaged with politics and more importantly, help to encourage people to be less willing to give our current political class such an easy ride in the future as that class has had in the past. It’s also the sort of thing that pisses off the people who, like CAIR, really really need to be made pissed off and subjected to public mockery.

I’ve been following Ilhan Omar for a while now and observing her and I have been forced to come to the conclusion that I really don’t like what I see. The financial and personal scandals, the questionable associates, the Jewish conspiracy guff, make her look worse and worse by the day. I look at Omar and try to work out where such a person with her twisted Jew hatred and dodgy Islamist friends would fit in if she was a British politician. Sadly, she’d fit quite well with the rest of Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party. Yes, Ilhan Omar really is that bad and because she is that bad not only should we not ignore her just because she is thousands of miles away, but we should also cheer the beginnings of some political pushback against her, because such pushback is sorely needed.
