You made your choice love, so stay there.

There’s another ‘British’ jihadi who has wants to come back to the UK after falling out of love with the ISIS terror group that she joined. Samia Hussain from Southall West London claims that she was duped into joining ISIS by being told that she would be going to Syria to help ‘needy children’. Hmmm! That sounds like a likely story doesn’t it? Methinks I smell high quality bullshit coming from Ms Hussain’s story.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Ms Hussain, who was severely injured when coalition forces attacked an ISIS position, wants to come home to the UK and she is being supported in her desire by her family. Personally I believe that she made her choice by going to Syria in the first place so she should live with the consequences of that choice and stay where she is or find some other place that is willing to take her, but she should not be returned to the United Kingdom. We have enough jihad supporters here already, we don’t need any more.

There’s something not quite right to my mind in her story of how she got recruited into ISIS. She claims that she was studying at an American university branch based in the Kenyan capital Nairobi and was approached by men who said that she could help children in Syria. This seems unbelievable to me. Here we have a woman who is intelligent enough to be accepted by a US university, who was able to organise travel and survive in a foreign country, something that does not correspond with naivety. Would someone of that level of intelligence and worldliness up sticks and travel to Syria because of a few blandishments from what appears to be relative strangers? I don’t think so. Why on earth would an allegedly secular leaning Muslim woman suddenly decide to up sticks and go to Syria? The story that Ms Hussain and her family just doesn’t make sense. It’s as if I, a non Orthodox Zionist Jew, suddenly decided to join up with the lunatics of Neturei Karta whose views are the polar opposite of my own. It just would not happen.

It is also interesting to note that as with the case of Shamima Begum the Jihad bride who was completely unfazed by the site of buckets of severed human heads, there are similar excuses for Ms Hussain’s behaviour and condition. The family of Ms Hussain are claiming that she was ‘groomed’ by ISIS and that she isn’t really a supporter of ISIS. I’m really not sure that I believe the family on this point. Firstly because Ms Hussain really doesn’t seem to fit the profile of someone easily duped or manipulated and secondly because of the use of the ‘groomed’ excuse which is difficult to either prove or disprove, but probably sounds good in the papers.

Unless it can be proven unequivocally and beyond reasonable doubt that a person was taken against their will and taken forcibly to ISIS territory then the state should not give these individuals the benefit of any doubt. The government should put the security of Briton’s to the fore and not let such individuals return to the United Kingdom. Not only would such a course of action keep out potentially dangerous individuals, but would also send a powerful message to other Muslims thinking of turning to overseas terror groups that if they align themselves with such terrorists, then there will be no forgiveness given to them by either the state or from the majority of British subjects.
