There are ten days to go of Ramadan, the Islamic festival of skipping lunch and then murdering people for Allah. A couple of days ago I thought my prayers were going to be answered and this Ramadan, unlike so many others, would turn out relatively peaceful (well relatively peaceful for Islam that is), but these prayers have not been answered yet.
The total death toll from Islamic violence during Ramadan across the world just yesterday was only 398. I thought the usual round of Muslim killing Muslim or Muslim killing non Muslim which is prevalent at this time of year, would probably produce a dozen or so deaths. Unfortunately the followers of the woefully misnamed ‘religion of peace’ have managed to clock up 90 deaths in just 24 hours.
As of today according to the site that monitors Islamic violence and hatred worldwide, The Religion of Peace a total of 488 people have been killed by Muslims during this Ramadan. People have been killed in car bomb attacks, mortar attacks and by knife and gun. Scores upon scores of mostly innocent people, many of them themselves followers of Islam, have had their lives taken by Muslims.
Muslims have killed Muslims on the grounds that the victim was the wrong sort of Muslim or had the wrong politics or wasn’t following Islam according to the beliefs of the aggressor. Anyone who knows and understands Islam will realise that Islam is not a peaceful belief system. It’s not peaceful to those who lie outside of its wards and it is also lacking in peace towards those within them. It’s followers too often cannot get on with fellow Muslims let alone get along with non Muslims.
The death tolls that are seen at this and at previous Ramadan’s are awful and sickmaking, but they are sadly not surprising. Islam after all is a cult born in violence and death and promotes a culture that admires violence and death. Because it promotes a seventh century warlord as an example of the pinnacle of human achievement, Islam is cursed to be violent. Is it any wonder that those nations and regions ruled by Islam or influenced by it are invariably the sort of backwards and violent places where Islamic death at the hands of some zealot or other is an ever present threat?
I predicted at the start of Ramadan that the death toll would top out at 900. I had hoped that I would be wrong but with the death toll already just shy of 500, it’s not stretching credibility much to say that ten days is an awful long time and plenty of opportunities for Islam to create even more carnage that it has already.
