Please remember to vote – A win for the ‘Apathy Party’ will only embolden our enemies.

Today British subjects vote in an election that we should not be having to take part in. It is a vote for members of the European Parliament, which is a useless toothless entity that we should have been laughing at from outside the European Union. Unfortunately our political classes and especially the members of the big Westminster political parties have let us all down. They have acted to try to annul the referendum vote in 2016 and keep us locked into the European Union despite there being a clear majority among Britons to leave.

Many Britons may be thinking that they might not bother with the EU Parliament election because they are angry at the Government’s betrayal of the referendum vote, this in my view would be a grave mistake. If you stay at home today then you can be sure as anything that those who want to remain in the EU and who despise this country and its people, will get out and vote. Staying away from the polling station will affect the result and it will then go badly for those of us who believe in Leave and further entrench the type of politics and politicians that take us all for granted.

A vote, even by the default method of a low turn out, for the big pro-EU parties would be a win for the Remainers and a win for those who live and work in a political bubble that cares little for the concerns or struggles of the ordinary Briton. I do not want to see the Apathy Party win yet again. Remember that when the last London Mayoral elections came around it was a low turnout that landed London with the appalling Sadiq ‘Saracen’ Khan as Mayor. By leaving the field open to the Westminster parties, Britons will end up being represented, or rather misrepresented by politicians who are as bad as or worse than Khan.

We must vote, even for this toothless and despised fake Parliament, to send a message to our governing classes that they will never forget. We must make them fear the loss of their seats, their power, their social standing and their income when the next UK General Election comes around. We can do this by not voting for either the Tories, Labour, Lib Dems, Scottish Nats, Plaid or the Greens. This is because all these parties are pro-EU to a significant degree. It is only by voting for UKIP (especially for Carl Benjamin and Mark Meecham), the Brexit Party or Independents like Tommy Robinson in the North West, that we can start the process of changing politics and remove the arrogant bastards who rule over us. This is the only way that we can use these elections to send a message to those who currently misgovern us that will will come for them at the ballot box next time.

You may not want to vote, you may be angry that we are being forced to hold this EU Parliament contest, you may feel that you have better things to do than schlep down to the Polling Station? However you really should vote, you should make the effort to get out and vote and stick two fingers up at a political class that has done the same to us for so many years.

  1. I voted, my wife voted, my five mates voted. Let us hope the whole country gives the so-called main Parties a right kicking, because they deserve nothing less! However, whether they will listen is yet another matter altogether!

Welcome to F211 Mr C. I read your own work on occasion and I like it. We have not voted yet, we are going to vote when our child comes home from nursery as we believe it’s important to show him the voting process. Like you, I want to see the big Westminster Parties, especially the Tories and Labour take a hit. They’ve mishandled not only Brexit but a whole host of other matters and as you say deserve a massive electoral kicking. I agree they might not listen to the Euro Parl result but it should make them fear a similar kicking at the General Election, which might be earlier than we may at this moment suppose.
