One of the things that really makes me angry is the way that the Left try to conflate the sort of ambulant human sewage who features in this story and those genuinely fleeing oppression. Time and again I’ve heard leftists, both secular and religious ones claim equivalence between the Muslims who come to the UK, often falsely claiming that they are persecuted, and the genuine refugees of the past. The most egregious of these dodgy claims is that the Muslim ‘asylum seekers’ are today’s moral equivalent of those who came to the UK on the pre-WWII Kindertransport, a programme that rescued Jewish children from certain death at the hands of the Nazis.
Leftist claims that the Muslim ‘asylum seekers’ are the moral analogue of the Kindertransport children fall apart pretty quickly when you compare the outcomes of those from the Kindertransport and the more recent Muslim ‘guests’. A great many of the Kindertransport children went on to become scientists, doctors, artists, politicians, business people,cultural commentators and intellectuals. The list of those from the Kindertransport who contributed greatly to both the United Kingdom and the Western world in general is both lengthy and impressive. The Muslim ‘refugees’ on the other hand seem to be overrepresented in such areas as rape, blowing up London tube trains and as in this latest case, plotting a mass casualty attack in the name of Islam.
A Kurdish Iraqi ‘refugee’ who lived in the Derbyshire city of Chesterfield has been convicted after a retrial of terror offences. The court was told that Farhad Salah aged 24 had plotted a mass casualty attack at Christmas time using a driverless car as a weapon. This savage was given asylum by the United Kingdom and repaid this generosity not, as the Kindertransport children did by being net contributors to British society, but by trying to kill Britons instead. Salah was an Islamic radical and had, because of his difficulty in obtaining travel documents, been thwarted in his attempt to travel to the Middle East and fight for the terror group ISIS. When he could not do this he decided instead to carry out an attack in the United Kingdom.
Salah and his co-defendant another Muslim called Andy Star were accused of planning a mass casualty attack and were said by the police to be in the early stages of formulating the scheme. Both Salah and Star were tried twice for these offences because at the first trial the Jury could not agree on a verdict. However after the retrial Salah was convicted of preparing to commit acts of terrorism. The Jury could not agree on a verdict on Star and the judge directed that Star be found not guilty and therefore would not face another retrial. Star however will remain in custody on immigration grounds.
It appears from reading the Daily Mail report that Salah was on the radar of the counter terror police for a while and was picked up following the Manchester Arena attack when police were concerned that there may be other Muslim terror plots coming to fruition. The police were aided in apprehending and targetting Salah in part because of Salah’s stupidity. Unwisely Salah decided to declare on social media just how much he wanted to fight in the Jihad and his desire to use a driverless car to cause slaughter.
Salah will be sentenced on July 24th and it is to be hoped that not only does he get a significant prison sentence but that he is also deported from the UK at the end of his sentence. We do not need savages who plot to kill us living among us.
Salah is the sort of savage that the Left is campaigning to bring into the UK and of a type which the government all too often allows to stay. The Left, who have mercilessly and dishonestly abused the image of previous genuine refugee groups, to allow savages like Salah and others to enter the UK, have imported a legion of monsters. The list of atrocities or attempted atrocities carried out or plotted by these Muslim ‘refugees’ is getting longer and longer. The Manchester attack was carried out by the scion of a ‘refugee’ family, the Parson’s Green tube train attack was a ‘refugee’ and the North East of England has been traumatised by an influx of sexually incontinent and violent ‘refugees’ to the area.
We should no longer allow the Left, whether that be the secular Marxist Left or the religious Left in the Church of England and in some parts of non-Orthodox Judaism, to get away with making false equivalences between events such as the Kindertransport and the current influx of highly dangerous Muslims. When Leftists or liberals make this claim of equivalence we must call it out, whether in private or public, as a monstrous lie. The Left have got away with the lie that Muslim ‘refugees’ equal the Kindertransport for far too long and those who promote this falsehood need to be called out on it and shown up as the liars that they are.
