This blog has previously published articles from various authors showing how the Green Party are not just far leftists in disguise, but also profoundly anti-democratic. The Green Party and their mostly middle class Left supporters are also, like Karl Marx himself, dismissive of the ‘lumpenproletariat’. The Green Party’s supporters, at least from what I’ve gathered from speaking to them, despise the majority of Britons in general as the uneducated masses who need to be led. In particular the underlying attitude of those Green supporters who I have conversed with is one in which they hate the democratic decision that British voters made to leave the European Union.
The middle class Leftist authoritarians who seem to me to be the most numerous visible supporters of the Green Party, despise the ordinary working class Briton who voted to leave the EU. They have consistently pushed the view that we Leave voters didn’t know what we were voting for and were manipulated into voting Leave. This is of course not the case. I and many other Leavers knew exactly what we were voting for when we went to the Polling Stations in 2016. We voted to leave the EU and to no longer be subject to EU laws and diktats. We knew that there may be some economic disturbances during the exit process, but we accepted that on the grounds that it was better that we suffer short term problems than stay in the EU and ultimately become the serfs of Brussels and Berlin.
Unfortunately, the Green Party, like other types of authoritarian Leftists, have continued with the stigmatizing and Marxist view of the ‘lumpen-proletariat’ as stupid people unaware of their need for class solidarity and therefore easily led by the forces of reaction. Because of that view, the Greens have worked both nationally and locally to disrupt or even stop the Brexit process. In other words the relatively small number of Green Party supporters believe that they and their Left-Green ideology are correct whilst all of us who chose independence for Britain are wrong, even though there’s far more of us than there is of them. This is the sort of authoritarian attitude that we see both from the Greens and other radical Leftists in history. As the Brexit process drags on, hopefully to a positive conclusion at the end of October, we see clearly how the Green Party have earned the nickname ‘the Watermelons’ as they are green on the outside and red on the inside.
The latest attempt by the Green Party to disrupt or even stop the Brexit process is a doozy and shows up just how much this party despises not just democracy but also the vast numbers of British working class voters who chose to leave the European Union. According to a report on Sky News, the Green Party’s sole Member of Parliament Caroline Lucas has called for the creation of a parallel ‘cabinet of women’ to interfere in or halt Brexit. Ms Lucas, who represents Brighton aka ‘Skid Row On Sea’ (where else), has written to high profile Remainer politicians with the aim of creating this ‘cabinet of women’ to force a second EU Referendum in he event of Prime Minister Boris Johnson losing a vote of confidence in the House of Commons.
The Sky report, quoting from an earlier Guardian article, revealed that among the female politicians that Ms Lucas has wrote to in order to formulate her Brexit wrecking group, are fanatical EU worshippers such as Lib Dem leader Jo Swinson, ex Tory MP Anna Soubry and Scottish Nationalist Party leader Nichola Sturgeon. Others who have been contacted include Red Tory Justine Greening and members of the SNP and Plaid Cymru along with independents like Heidi Allan. This list of names is a veritable smorgasbord of the sort of anti-democrats that have plagued the Brexit process for three years now. They are the same sort of authoritarians who see you and me as ‘lumpenprolitariat’ to be dismissed and despised as they were by the likes of Marx and Engels.
Ms Lucas’s call for a ‘cabinet of women’ is not just nasty, authoritarian and anti-democratic, it is also politically and historically illiterate. At one point in her interview Ms Lucas said:
“We need an ’emergency cabinet’ – not to fight a Brexit war but to work for reconciliation. And I believe this should be a cabinet of women.
“Why women? Because I believe women have shown they can bring a different perspective to crises, are able to reach out to those they disagree with and cooperate to find solutions.”
Apart from being obvious sexist misandrist bullshit, Ms Lucas’s statement is factually wrong. Some women can be just as competitive in politics, if not more so than men. We only have to look back at the government of Margaret Thatcher to see that the ‘women are cooperative leaders’ stuff to be completely false. Whatever one’s view of her, Mrs (later Baroness) Thatcher was a conviction politician who stamped her authority on her Cabinet, but was also a leader that respected and understood the view of the average person in the street who just wanted to get on in life.
This respect for the voter and their aspirations that Margaret Thatcher possessed is sadly lacking in either Caroline Lucas or many of those that she has tried to get on board with her all female ‘cabinet’ project. Caroline Lucas, like so many others in the socialist camp, respect neither the British voter nor our aspiration to be an independent trading nation again. She certainly does not respect democracy despite portraying herself as the smiling face of green socialism and on that issue she is little different from the socialist horrors that have come before.
Caroline Lucas by making this move has shown that she does not respect democracy when the vote goes against her. In this she has shown herself to be as anti-democracy as other socialists and by doing so she has truly cemented her party in the ranks of the far Left, something that should be remembered come election time. Lucas is not green, she’s red and that is why her and her party of authoritarians are dangerous.
