Islam is ‘different’ from other faiths, but not in any good way. Unlike other spiritual paths such as Judaism and Christianity, Islam is founded on violence and is a poisonous tree that produces equally poisonous fruit.
Some indication of just how bad and dangerous Islam is can be seen by the vast and growing numbers of those who convert to Islam and go straight to jihad without passing through any period of peace. Islam and the acceptance of violence that is part and parcel of this ideology, unlike other more decent and genuinely peaceful faith paths, has a long history of attracting to it those individuals who are by nature violent. In Islam these misfits find an ideology that does not want them to curtail or stop their violent tendencies, but instead supports and nurtures them. Islam is a religion of violence and hatred and therefore attracts those who are filled with hate and a desire for violence.
The latest example of a man deciding to convert to Islam and then going swiftly from there to plotting to harm his nation, in this case the United States of America, comes from the state of Missouri. According to a report by Pamela Geller (h/t ROP), Robert Lorenzo Hester aged 25, was caught by undercover police plotting mass atrocities against US targets. These targets included New York’s Wall Street along with ‘government officials’ and other targets that this savage had picked out in Kansas City.
Ms Geller said that Hester had had a number of contacts with police who were working undercover and was quite plainly involved in a serious attempt to cause death and destruction. She added that Hester, who said he wanted a ‘global jihad’, was aligned with the Islamic terror group ISIS.
Hester has obviously seen that he is bang to rights and has accepted a plea deal which could see him gaoled for approximately 15 years instead of the 20 years he would have got had he challenged this case by pleading not guilty. If he had slipped through the net and had carried out his attack I dread to think how many innocent Americans this bastard would have killed.
This case is yet another that illustrates that no matter how much one may wish to have a society where people have complete freedom of religion, some faith paths, such as Islam, take advantage of these freedoms to recruit dangerous individuals like Hester. Ideally, civilised societies should take the view that Britain’s Queen Elizabeth I did which is that the government or the state should not have windows into men’s souls. However, Islam has such a bad reputation for violence and for attracting from outside Islam violent thugs and misfits like Hester that Islam and those that choose it should be kept outside of such protections of religious belief and religious choice.
In my lifetime I’ve met dozens of people who have converted to Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, neo-Paganism etc, but very very few if any have turned to violence in order to promulgate or advance their faith. It is nearly always those who have chosen Islam who do this and why I believe that those who choose Islam should be looked at with some degree of suspicion both by the state and by the general population. We should treat those who freely choose this dangerous and destructive ideology the same way we would treat those in the modern world who choose to follow Stalin or Hitler or some other monster and that is with disdain and disgust and suspicion.
We know enough about Islam today to know that it is not a religion of peace, that many of its values are not compatible with the values of civilised countries and that the major source of aggression towards us comes from Islam. If someone chooses this path knowing what it is, then they should be seen as an enemy plain and simple.
