Yesterday, following the terrible attack by a knifeman on French police officers in their headquarters in Paris, I suggested that there was at least a 50% chance that this was an Islamic attack. Turns out that I may well have been correct.
According to reports in both Breitbart and Sky News, the attacker was a person who had converted to Islam. The member of staff who went on the rampage, Michael Harpon, 45, was said by press reports to be originally from the French overseas department of Martinique and had been employed by the police for over twenty years. At some time in the past Harpon converted to Islam and this seems to have been the root cause of this savage individual embarking on his attack. Breitbart is stating that Harpon had been unhappy at being given instructions by a woman and it was his female supervisor was the first of the police employees that Harpon attacked with a ceramic knife.
The information about Harpon being a convert to Islam is not just being featured on Breitbart but also by Sky News although Sky has buried the convert to Islam information quite far down in their piece. It’s almost as if Sky journalists and sub editors felt uncomfortable about putting this very relevant piece of information about the attacker in a more prominent place in their article?
Three police officers and a civilian support worker are dead because of the actions of this man who chose the path of Islamic savagery. Four families have been robbed of their loved ones not just by the actions of the savage Muslim himself, but also by a State that refused to see that those who choose Islam should be seen as potential threats. A man working in such a sensitive area as intelligence should have been either sacked or moved to some non critical role as soon as his conversion to the death cult came to light. But this is not what happened. Instead he and his death cult conversion was tolerated and the result of that tolerance is four people are now dead.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Islam is different and not in any sort of nice way. This means that neither we or our governments should treat those who convert to Islam in the same tolerant way that we would treat those who choose other faith paths such as Christianity or Judaism or Hinduism. Instead such individuals should be shunned and kept away from critical infrastructure and security entities lest they suddenly suffer from ‘sudden jihad syndrome’ and kill like Michael Harpon has done.
How much harm did he do to national security before he ran amok ? He didn’t suddenly flip from model employee to muslim murderer in an instant – if he worked in intelligence, he has probably been tipping-off terrorist suspects for years before he went the whole hog and joined their ranks.
Apparently he’d been a convert to the Religion of Death for 18 months according to some reports I’ve seen. Even if he wasn’t tipping off terrorists the whole time since his conversion to Islam there is as you say the strong possibility that he may have been a security risk for at least some of that time.
If the 18 months period in the Islamic death cult is correctly reported then this is indeed a very short time between accepting Islam and murdering non Muslims. This is a phenomenon that I’ve seen a great deal of where people convert to Islam and often in less than a year end up as extremists. You don’t see this phenomenon with those who convert to other more decent faiths. For example I know quite a few people who’ve converted to Judaism and Christianity and none of them have wanted to go on killing sprees post conversion.
