This blog has in the past aimed criticism at Lord Alf Dubs the former Labour MP and a man who, along with many others, was saved from certain death at the hands of the Nazis by Britain, when he came to the UK as part of the Kindertransport. This criticism has mostly been about how foolish Lord Dubs has been to allow himself to be used as a figurehead and a promotional tool by the pro-migration, pro-Islam and thoroughly anti-British ‘community group’ Citizens UK.

Lord Dubs, or more appropriately his Kindertransport status, has been wheeled out on numerous occasions by the Citizens UK group in order to promote this group’s rabid open borders ideas. He has specifically been used by Citizens UK in order to promote the mostly false idea that there are loads of vulnerable ‘refugee’ children in the migrant shanty towns that have sprung up in Northern France near the Channel ports.

I’ve been content in the past to take the relatively charitable view of Lord Dubs and say that this is a man who has been exploited by Citizens UK in order to promote their open borders and pro-Islam views. Unfortunately Lord Dubs recent foray into the Labour anti-Semitism scandal is causing me to believe that he is not just a foolish person who is being exploited by leftist groups like Citizens UK, but is politically a bit of a wrong ‘un.

You would have to be a bit of a wrong ‘un to come out, as Lord Dubs has, and try to defend Jeremy Corbyn and to dump on the concerns raised about Corbyn’s Labour party by the Orthodox Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis. Lord Dubs said that the Chief Rabbi had ‘gone too far’ when he advised Britons and especially British Jews to ‘vote with their consciences’ at the upcoming General Election. Lord Dubs even went so far as to defend Jeremy Corbyn from accusations of Jew hatred, despite Corbyn having a long association with some of the worst Islamic Jew haters on the planet and there being a well documented issue with leftist Jew haters in the Labour party especially since Corbyn’s rise to the leadership.

I personally find it utterly disgusting that a man like Lord Dubs who escaped from the Nazis is going public and defending Corbyn like this. It is equally disgusting to hear that Lord Dubs has said that ‘Jews have nothing to fear’ from Corbyn or the Labour Party. Well, I’m Jewish and I’m absolutely terrified at the prospect of a Labour Party victory in the General Election and so are my many non Jewish friends and allies.

Lord Dubs is tying to push the issue of Labour’s Jew hatred and the linked issue of Labour’s Islamophillia, under the carpet. Yes, I understand that Lord Dubs is a former Labour MP and may have party loyalties to consider, but there are some issues where party loyalty has to be put to one side. This issue is one of them. Corbyn is a wrong ‘un. He’s a wrong ‘un socially, politically and economically and for Lord Alf Dubs to come out on Corbyn’s side will in the eyes of many, make Lord Dubs look like a wrong ‘un as well.
