It’s been approximately one and half months since I was accused of being a ‘meme criminal’ by officers of the Metropolitan Police’s ‘hate crime hub’. The police are accusing me of mocking, via a meme, a man called Fiyaz Mughal, the founder of the Tell Mama organisation in such a way as it targets his Muslim identity, even though Mr Mughal has described himself as a ‘non practising Muslim’.
Since my arrest on the 22nd October of this year, in which the police smashed my door down in order to arrest a mere alleged ‘meme criminal’, I have had no response from the police regarding my actual case. I am still on unconditional bail pending ‘further investigations’. I have however attempted to get relevant data regarding my arrest out of the Metropolitan Police and from the West Mercia Police who sent officers to accompany the Met officers, so far to no avail. Both forces seem to be stalling on handing this information over to me, despite this information being available to me as a legal right.
There has been no contact from either force regarding any future or potential charges and neither have the police returned the IT equipment that belongs to both myself and my wife that they seized during the arrest. There has also been no request from any force for me to attend any interviews with the police.
This sort of delay is not uncommon in these dubious ‘hate speech’ cases. There seems to be an unspoken policy in the criminal justice system to make the process of prosecution or investigation part of the punishment. These delays are part of that debased process of investigation. If you look back at other similar cases ranging from that of Count Dankula right through to much less high profile cases, what looks like deliberate delay is being used in these type of cases is used to, possibly in order to try to wear the accused down so they accept a caution or a guilty plea.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all those of you out there who have followed my case, supported me, promoted this latest ‘hate speech’ injustice and who have provided me with publicity and with cash. The help that you have given is mightily appreciated, it has enabled be to continue pointing out uncomfortable truths about Britain, the world and various ideologies.
I am going to fight this case, not just for myself, but for all the other Britons who live under the shadow of these intrusive, inequitable, biased ‘hate speech’ laws. All Britons deserve freedom of speech, not just those who sit in our Parliament.
I’ll give a further update soon.
You get my backing because one day the thought police may well come for me.
Keep up the fight. All the best!
