What do you think should be the very basic skill that someone who wants to be a politician should have? Is it integrity, honesty, passion for the job? How about putting a matching pair of shoes on their feet, that is about as basic a skill as one can get, even my four year old can get the right shoes on the right feet.
Unfortunately this skill seems to be missing from Labour’s almost certain to be elected candidate for Hackney, Dianne Abbott. The Guido Fawks site is carrying a picture (see above) of Dianne Abbott’s feet. As you can see she’s wearing shoes, but not from the same pair.
Now I must admit that when I saw this I thought it was photoshop. After all surely nobody would be that forgetful or distracted to put the right shoe from one pair and the left shoe from a different pair on their feet? I think that most people when going out in public would check to see that their shoes were on and that they were not odd shoes. Why on earth didn’t Dianne Abbott check her own damn feet or why didn’t those around her point out that she was wearing odd shoes?
Dianne Abbott is slated to become Home Secretary should Labour win the election. What a thoroughly frightening thought.
You’ve missed the point that she was not just wearing mis-matched shoes – she was wearing two LEFT shoes – which is quite a hard mistake to make for anyone with normal perceptive abilities.
Still, it’s quite apt – after all, this is a woman whose life is dedicated to forcing an entire country into a Left-wing strait-jacket into which it plainly does not wish to fit.
Phil,
I was about to make that point too.
If it isn’t a very good Photoshop, then I worry *even more* for DA’s mental state.
According to the Metro it was Meg Hillier (on the right of Abbott – a dangerous place I would have said to stand, but there you go) who tweeted the photo of the mismatched shoes.
If fact there are several – all put out by Labour activists.
Thus the Liebour activist lie that it’s all “a Tory Photoshop” is refuted.
I, for one, am now convinced that this is genuine.
DA really can’t even put her shoes on the right feet. It’s actually very sad, whatever you think of her she was a pioneer in politics for BAME women and to see the such signs of mental collapse is distressing.
That said, she should now quietly retire, for her own good.
I agree with you that it is time to Dianne Abbott to retire. Whilst her performance in interviews etc can be put down to a person who has been promoted beyond her ability, the incident with the shoes hints at something more serious and as you say more distressing.
