Boris Johnson’s Conservatives did far better than I could ever have expected. A proper working majority for the Tories has been achieved.

Better than that the spectre of a government led by the friend of Hamas, Hezbollah and the IRA has gone away. Jeremy Corbyn has announced that he will step down as leader of Labour. Hopefully Labour will see sense and purge the Momentum communists and become a proper Labour Party again. It was a bad night also for the anti liberal anti democratic Liberal Democrat party. They didn’t do a fraction as well as they expected to do and their leader even lost her seat.

Even Bolsover, a seat that has to my knowledge been Labour since 1970 and held by Dennis Skinner has fallen to the Tories. This is something that many of us have speculated might have happened but never expected to happen.
