Good news from Westminster – it looks as if the Dubs Amendment and similar legislation are dead

Boris Johnson’s government has most certainly made an impression on the way Britain is governed even after about a week since the General Election. The Tories massive majority means that the Government can no longer be held to ransom by special interest groups such as the ‘refugees welcome’ movement.

The government has taken decisive and clear aim at the various shell groups, virtue signallers, foolish clerics and sinister ‘community organisations’ like Citizens UK, who have promoted the ‘refugees welcome’ hysteria. The Government have set about removing a clause in the Withdrawal Agreement that would have allowed the unaccompanied ‘child’ refugees to come to Britian if they had relatives already here.

This and similar provisions had provided a loophole in Britain’s immigration law that you could drive a coach and horses through. An economic migrant or even a terrorist only had to pretend to be under 18 for various ‘refugee’ help groups to be able to provide assistance to the migrant to enter the UK.

The Dubs Amendment and similar legislation and agreements such as the ‘unaccompanied child migrant’ one that was kicked out today have been a nasty thorn in the side when it comes to controlling immigration. It was, you will not be surprised to hear, agreed to by Cameron and May, two of the wettest Tories ever to lead the party. I’m glad to see Boris Johnson starting to close these loopholes that have been exploited by those who are plainly not children but instead are adult males of military age from Islamic countries.

This is going to sent anti-British groups like Citizens UK into a state of panic. I dare say that at this moment in time CUK are probably trying to marshall all their government and other contacts that they have in order to stop Britain’s border control being tightened. It is vital for the security of the nation that the whining, shroud-waving and emoting of groups like CUK is ignored and such groups told to ‘go forth and multiply’.
