One of the problems that Britain has faced in recent years is that of dodgy migrants from equally dodgy countries and cultures gathering in Northern France in order to find an opportunity to enter the UK illegally. Once here, these illegals then claim political asylum, get the help of Left wing lawyers and pro-migration groups in order to stay in the UK and become very difficult if not impossible to remove.
These left wing people traffickers, which I think is fair to describe these groups as, have engaged in monstrous levels of dishonest and emotive campaigning in order to get their pet ‘refugees’ into the United Kingdom. They’ve screamed loudly about the poor abandoned ‘children’ stuck in camps in France even though the reality is that many of these are not children at all but adult Muslim males of military age, who are the very last sort of people that civilised countries should be allowing in. Groups like Citizens UK, Safe Passage and Care4Calais have relentlessly pushed the false idea that these camps are full of vulnerable toddlers that need rescuing and have kept up this lie even when it was exposed a few years back by the press who showed that these ‘children’ had beards and crows feet.
Neither the Government’s of David Cameron nor Theresa May did anything to keep out these fake children, some of whom ended up committing terror offences such as the Parson’s Green tube bombing, and worse still appeased the groups bringing these fake children in. However there are signs that Boris Johnson’s government is made of much sterner stuff than that which made up the Cameron and May administrations.
Despite loud protestations from Labour and Liberal Democrat MP’s and the pro-migrant groups Care4Calais and Safe Passage, the Government has suceeded in removing from the EU Withdrawal Bill provisions to bring over yet more fake ‘refugee children’. According to a report on the left leaning Independent news site, the Government has won a Commons vote to remove provisions for alleged ‘child refugees’ to be ‘reunited’ with those whom they claim are relatives living in the UK. Of course this provision being tossed out by the Commons has sent the pro-migrant groups and those playing the, by now very tattered and torn, ‘refugees welcome’ card, into a tailspin. Here (in italics) are the comments from some of the pro-migrant types with my comments in plain text.
Safe Passage International, a charity providing legal support, described the vote as “a bitter blow for separated child refugees”.
But this is a big win for Britons, no matter what our race or religion, who have long wanted to see the ‘child refugee’ loophole closed.
“We have real concerns that children will hear about the government’s decision to remove protections and fear the route to family reunion will be closed by Brexit,” said Beth Gardiner-Smith, its chief executive.
Personally I care little about what these fake refugees and even faker ‘children’ think about this decision. The primary duty of a government is to keep its own people safe from the sort of harm that these pretend ‘children’ pose to the British people and the nation.
“And we know that, when legal routes aren’t available, children are more likely to be pushed into the hands of smugglers, and risk their lives taking dangerous journeys.”
Bullshit! These fake refugees were not intending to enter Britain legally in the first place, they are in Northern France looking for an opportunity to smuggle themselves aboard a cross channel ferry and enter the UK illegally. If they were genuine refugees, which I believe the vast majority are not, then they would have sought sanctuary in the first safe country that they entered and not traversed the entire continent of Europe, looking for the most dopey country that would let them in and shower them with benefits and welfare.
The leader of another pro-migrant group, Care4Calais, inadvertantly revealed exactly why we in Britain don’t want the sort of migrants that this group is telling us we should take.
Clare Moseley, the director of Care4Calais, said “We have many very young Afghan boys here. Some are under 13.
Young Afghan men. Hmm! These are unlikely to be future rocket scientists or doctors are they, bearing in mind where they’ve come from? They are more likely to be the next generation of Islamic terrorists, rapists and gangsters. I love the way that Clare Moseley used the phrase ‘some are under 13’, which implies that a great many more of these Afghans are adults and are not in any way shape or form to be considered as vulnerable children.
“Nearly all the young people here are trying to reach family in the UK. That is the only reason anyone would put up with the horrible conditions here.”
Again yet more bullshit from the Care4Calais group. Yes they may be trying to reach family members who have already got to the UK but that doesn’t mean that they are the sort of people who should be let in does it? I’d also challenge Ms Mosley’s statement that they are only putting up with the conditions in France because they want to be reunited with their families. It’s much more likely that they are putting up with the conditions in the French camps because they have their eyes on the main prize, entry to the UK and access to Britain’s welfare system.
The whining of these pro-migrant, or more truthfully pro-invader virtue signalling groups like Care4Calais and Safe Passage is delicious to behold. They’ve been acting over the last few years with virtual impunity like a fifth column bringing in those who are likely to be serious burdens and security problems in the future. What’s worse is that too often they were listened to by those in the May and Cameron governments, something that gave them an awful lot of unearned political power.
I did worry that when the new Government was elected last month that it would be business as usual for these pro-migrant groups and that Boris Johnson’s government would end up going as soft on them as other governments have been. Thankfully, as we can see from the Commons vote to not facilitate the entry of these fake refugees and fake children into the UK, this has not been the case. The Tories have quite rightly told the likes of Safe Passage and Care4Calais to sod off and do one and this is a course of action that the Tories need to do more of if they are to retain the new voters that the party gained at the last general election. Migration loopholes need to be closed, it’s what the people have unequivocably stated at the General Election that they want. By slapping down these pro-migrant groups, it might just be that Boris Johnson is doing what Labour and other Tory Prime Ministers failed to do, which is to curb both the entry of dangerous and burdensome migrants but also curb the activities of these equally dangerous open borders groups.
