We keep getting told, by Muslims, by the Left and the liberal Establishment that Islam is a ‘religion of peace’. Unfortunately some of the followers of the ideology of Islam seem to be going out of there way to show that the claim that Islam is a religion of peace is at best shaky and at worst a thoroughly dishonest one.
If you read the outline of the story below about a violent altercation that took place at a British mosque then you should ask yourself the question would this sort of violent thuggery be present at a church or a synagogue or a Hindu or Buddhist temple? I’d say that violent conduct connected with non Muslim religious institutions is rare but sadly far more common among Muslims, possibly because of the violent nature of the ideology of Islam itself.
The story (h/t ROP), from the Shields Gazette tells of how a member of the congregation at the Al Azhar Mosque at Laygate set off an incident in August 2018 by calling in thugs to back him up following a dispute.
The Shields Gazette said of the dispute that ended up with five individuals appearing before the courts:
Monsur Miah, 25, who was armed with a “metal implement”, Rejwan Miah, 19, Mohammed Miah, 48, who was carrying a wrench, Azfal Miah, 24 and Mid Hussain, 39, were all involved in a violent clash at the Al Azhar Mosque at Laygate, South Shields in August 2018.
Newcastle Crown Court heard Rejwan Miah summoned “troops” with a phone call saying he was under “imminent threat” at the packed mosque.
Azfal Miah, of Marshall Wallis Road, Mohammed Miah, of Western Approach, Rejwan Miah, of St Jude’s Terrace, Mid Hussain, of Gompertz Gardens, and Monsur Miah, of St Jude’s Terrace, all pleaded guilty to a section 4 public order offence in relation to the distrubance at the mosque. Monsur and Mohammed Miah both also pleaded guilty to possessing an offensive weapon
What lovely, lovely peaceful people – not. Sound more like violent savages to me. But there’s more. One of these violent Muslims isn’t just an Islamic thug, he’s also got a criminal record and freely takes the piss out of our laws.
The Shields Gazette added:
Monsur Miah also admitted two counts of dangerous driving, driving without a licence and without insurance and has been jailed for 20 months with a three years and four months driving ban.
The court heard it was three months after the mosque offences Monsur Miah was spotted by officers driving at 70mph through a 40mph zone on the John Reid Road, in South Shields.
Then on August 1 last year, was caught by police driving while disqualified from Stanhope Road to Marshall Road in South Shields.
It seems that Monsur Miah got more punishment for the road traffic offences than he did the for the acts of violence that he partook in. The other violent Muslims involved in this altercation at the mosque seem to have walked free with non custodial sentences imposed upon them. The Shields Gazette listed the sentences handed down to the other thugs as follows:
Mohammed Miah was sentenced to seven months in prison, suspended for 18 months and 175 hours unpaid work.
Azfal Miah and Hussain were both sentenced to a two year conditional discharge.
Rejwan Miah was sentenced to two months imprisonment, suspended for 12 months.
What gets me is Rejwan Miah was the instigator of all this, the one who made the call to get the other thugs to come down to the mosque. He’s got a derisory sentence of two months suspended for twelve despite starting this whole shit show in the first place. People get more than this for saying ‘I don’t like Islam very much’ on social media. These sentences look to me like blatant pandering to the local Muslim community in order to placate the more troublesome elements of that community. They are the absolute bare minimum that the court could get away with and I find myself asking the question: Would Christians or Jews or anybody else who behaved in this way (unlikely I know) get such grossly lenient sentences? Sadly I don’t think that they would. This looks very much like another example of the judicial double standard that is being applied to Islam where the followers of this ideology can be violent but not suffer the same consequences of that violence, that we are seeing all too frequently. These thugs have walked with very little punishment and we should be asking why this is the case?
