No matter how bad the jihad situation is in the United Kingdom and the rest of the West, in Africa it is worse. Reports are coming to me that jihadis from the Al Shabbab terror group have ambushed a bus in Kenya and killed three people. The dead are two Christians who could not or would not recite the Islamic declaration of faith, the Shahada, and a Muslim man who tried to intercede to protect the targeted Christians. The report, from the Christian Post (h/t ROP) makes for grim reading.

The Christian Post said:

Two Christians are reported to be among three people killed after suspected al-Shabaab militants attacked a bus in Kenya on Wednesday morning. 

Haji Abass, the owner of the Kenya-based Moyale Raha bus company, told The Associated Press that fighters suspected to be aligned with the Somalia-based group attacked the bus while it was carrying passengers to the capital of Nairobi from a market town near the Ethiopian and Somalian borders. 

Abass said that the militants were in police uniform and tried to flag down the bus. However, the bus driver kept on going because he knew there were no police stops along the route. 

At that point, the militants shot at the bus, flattened the back tires and injured the driver. 

After the bus went into a ditch, militants allegedly pulled the passengers out and killed two non-Muslims and one Muslim. Two others were injured. 

The Muslim man who was killed was named by ICC as Abdi Abinoor. ICC reports that Abinoor was killed for trying to protect the Christians.

This is yet another act of horror by Islamic jihadis dedicated to killing those who are not Muslim or those Musilms they see as not being ‘Islamic enough’. It is the latest in a string of attacks that have occurred right across Africa and which in some parts, such as West Africa, have devastated and decimated Christian communities.

Although we in the West have our own problems with Jihad, we should not ignore the jihad that is going on elsewhere and most notably in Africa. We should not ignore it not only because it is fellow members of humanity who are being slaughted en masse on a daily basis by jihadis, but in order to inform ourselves just what jihad entails. Do not be beguiled into thinking that the sort of brutaility inflicted by Islamic jihadis on Africans will stay in Africa. If they could get away with it these Jihadis would do the same here as they do there. No matter who we are or what the colour of our skins, we all face the same enemy and that is the violent ideology of Islam.
