One group that has latched onto the Chinese Covid19 virus crisis in order to exploit it has been the jihadists. Various Islamists have made wild claims about Covid19 such as ‘it won’t kill Muslims’, ‘Muslims who do get it are jihad martyrs’, ‘ it’s Allahs punishment for the unbelievers’ alongside an old ‘favourite’ from the Islamic world ‘a big Jew did it and ran away’.
India has produced a pretty nasty example of a ranting Muslim cleric exploiting Covid19 for his own ends. An Indian news outlet is reporting (h/t ROP) that an Indian Islamic cleric, Abbas Siddiqui Furfara has allegedly been recorded calling for a congregation of Muslims to pray that Covid19 causes the death of 500 million Hindu Indians.
Swarajya, an online magazine said:
A video of a prominent Islamic preacher Abbas Siddiqui Furfura, wherein he can be heard appealing to the crowd to pray to Allah so that he sends a deadly virus in India which kills 50 crore people, has gone viral on social media.
Abbas Siddiqui, an influential Islamic cleric in Bengal, had earlier announced his plan to contest the West Bengal assembly elections in 2021. He belongs to the Siddiqui Furfura Sharif Darbar located in Jangipara in Hooghly district,
During the course of the video the cleric can be heard saying, “Allah Amar Bharat borshe emon kathin ekta virus dig, ei bharat borshe jano, 10-20-50 koti log more jaye (I pray to Allah that he sends such a deadly virus in India which kills up to 50 crore people)“.
The actions of this cleric are not the actions of a functionary in a genuine religion of peace, instead the are the ravings of someone who has given up their life and their existance to follow a death cult. This is because only the followers of some sort of death cult could wish death on 500 million people.
Tbe video seems to have been taken down by You Tube or by its orignal uploader, and this removal might possibly be at the behest of the Indian Government who do tend to go a bit full on when it comes to trying to stop the sort of communal violence that all too often breaks out in India. After all it is the sort of thing that could rile up the easily riled Indian Muslim population into violence followed by tit for tat violence from Hindus or it might cause preemptory ‘defensive’ violence towards Muslims from members of other communal groups.
What sort of a person calls for megadeaths of people just because of their faith? The answer is a violent nutter who belongs to a death cult that’s who. It is both frightening and worrying to think that Abbas Siddiqui Furfura is described as ‘influential’ and ‘prominent’ in Indian Islamic circles and the fact that he is so described also gives us some inkling into how violent, supremacist and dangerous some Indian Muslims are. India is facing a double whammy of problems coming up. First they are going to have to deal with the effects of the Chinese Covid19 virus and secondly they are going to have to deal with the problems that are likely to be caused by the deluded followers of this equally deluded cleric.
